Labour Party: Certain Factors May Affect Sanwo-Olu's Return For 2nd Term - SWAGA by bennybuhari: 8:00pm On Feb 27, 2023
The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA’23) on Monday said it never expected that Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) will win the presidential election in Lagos state.

Obi polled 582,454 while Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos state governor scored 572,606 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, came third with 75,750 votes.

Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, SWAGA's National Secretary, Otunba Bosun Oladele said Obi's victory is an eye opener for the APC, adding that the party will go back to the drawinh board to analyse the situation.

"For us, Obi's victory in Lagos is unexpected and it is an eye opener. We need to go to the drawing board. We need to also look beyond these mere figures because certain things are not right. We will do a thorough examination and analysis of what happened. But I will say that I never expected that Obi will win Lagos".

When asked if LP's victory in Lagos may affect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's reelection bid, Oladele said the APC will restrategise in order to ensure the governor is returned for second term.

"I want to say categorically that if the governorship election will be based on performances, Governor Sanwo-Olu should not have any problem with returning for second term. But I want to also say that if it is also based on certain factors which I may not be able to talk about now until thorough findings have been made, it may affect his return".

"So, for us in APC, it is a clarion call to dig deep and do everything that is necessary to ensure Governor Sanwo-Olu's victory. I may not be able to start talk about what is necessary now, that will be the party’s internal arrangement but discussions have started" he said.

Come 13th, we will remove Sanwo Olu as governor. APC has taken Nigerians for granted for far too long. We will have an even higher voter turnout this time around.

Nothing will be affected!

It’s +4

His opponent just needs Ndigbo’s support and Sanwolu will emerge victorious

Sanwoolu will win a second term. A look at the result of the senate election where APC won all the three senate seats should tell you how the governorship election will go. I’ve absolutely no doubt that Sanwoolu will win.

It's about time APC is unseated in Lagos, LP and PDP must form an alliance, they should not go into governorship elections individually , I can bet they will lose the election to APC, if go into the election individually APC will out rig them, use thugs and hoodlums against them, but if they form an alliance they will defeat APC hands down with the massive votes they will both get from supporters

You are uninformed or deliberately dishing out falsehood.

You know that LP logo was omitted on the Lagos senatorial ballot paper and hence were not in play in the senate race.Hence people were not able to vote fro LP fro the Lagos senatorial seats.

Had it been the they had ballot, the result would have been totally different.

So stop misinforming people and you know deep down that Sanwo-Olu is a gonner.

Be ready to have GRV as your new governor in Lagos State.

Gbadebo is a true Omoluabi and a true Lagosian unlike the immigrants from heaven know-where.

Equally, we will also be treating Wike sh*t here in Rivers come March 11.

Papa, Mama, and Pickin structureless party just, uprooting and bulldozing so called parties rooted in impunity, violence, criminality and corruption with unassailable ease.

The good thing about this election have shown who are the criminal politicians in Nigeria who have hitherto claimed structures that are smokescreen of perpetual backwardness, violence, impunity, criminality and corruption

APC won all three senate seats because LP wasn't in the race. Did APC win all HOR?

this Swaga is not experience, All PDP supporters with LP felt they can win Nigeria election once they captured Lagos, they tried but failed

PDP and LP are voting separately hence it won't affect Sanwoolu

with the outcome of this election, a lot of obidense won't come out, some will give up and the rest that will vote will divide Jendor votes hence make Sanwoolu win with a wide margin

come 10 of march or 13 Sanwoolu will win with a wide margin. APC members just need to sensitize the indigenous people among them because there was big low turn out in Lagos this year
