Presidential Election in Nigeria is conducted all across the country. Your candidate won in your polling unit, ward, LGA or State does not translate to victory nationwide. In Nigeria we all have preferences and choices because we vote along ethnic and religious lines. If we want to see our desired growth and progress for Nigeria we must all embrace religious and ethnic tolerance. 6 Likes |

GloriousGbola:With Tinubu as figure head president, Buhari cabal is still presiding over Nigeria through Hashim Shettima. That's why Buhari cabal joined with INEC to do the worst election fraud ever. For Buhari cabal it was do or die presidential election. |

Islie: Nigerian officials had hoped new biometric voter identification technology would make the election the cleanest yet, but malfunctions, long delays and slow results have fueled the accusations of fraud... Whose thought was this? The US or the irrelevant editor? |

Sending congratulatory messages by world leaders to any newly elected president is expected. They ally countries will acknowledged the declaration of result by the INEC and will show impartiality to advise the aggreived parties to use legal means to seek redress. There was a similar situation in kenya's election in 2017 which was marred by rigging and electoral malpractices and the electoral umpire declared Uhuru kenyatta as winner of the presidential election. The opposition challenged the result in supreme court of law and won the election thereby removing the incumbent president. The results of the presidential election were annulled by the court and fresh presidential election was ordered to be held within 60 days. My concern is that do we have an independent judiciary? All the election results that have been challenge in court since 1999 have not prove that our judiciary system is independent. The current ruling party always have a way to truncate the process thereby case will be adjourn until the winner completed his 4 years tenure. We need to include electoral jurisprudence in our judiciary system taking cognizance that there will be room to seek redress in the court of law. Our judiciary must work together with INEC as a team player whenever election season is at the corner. God bless Nigeria. |

MeineMutter: Buhari cabal in collaboration with INEC wants to remain in power through Hashim Shettima as the working president but with ailing and old Tinubu as figure head president. Yet, you have no head to understand why they tricked the electorate with Mammood's statement last year that vote results would be transmitted directly from polling units to INEC portal, but later adopted manual collation of votes. Wake up and smell the coffee. Manual collation they did is illegal, a breach of trust. |
