We can learn from Kogi state's continuously deteriorating condition if we really want to see the overwhelming impact of tribalism and religion.

Everyone anticipated that Prince Audu's deputy Falake would take over after his passing (may he rest in peace), but the majority of Apc chieftains from the Ebira clan in Kogi state cried out that they had never held office since the state's founding.

The emergence of the youngest but most unintelligent governor of the federation was caused by them even going so far as to start spreading false theories that a Christian would never control Kogi state.

The current administration has proven to be unfavorable to all, and the same people who fought a bloody tribal and religious conflict to have their own son crowned also suffered tremendously as a result of the political disaster, with many going missing.

Politicians disregard tribe or faith when they commit wrongdoing or dispense harsh policies, but they use it as a weapon during elections because there is no benefit of tribalism or religious differnce other than emotional fulfillment.
