Entertainment has been able to impact governance in Nigeria. Falz and Mr Macaroni made a huge impact on the country's music industry, as well as Iyabo Ojo. We have seen this impact through their songs and their performances on stage but also through their words and actions. Mass media
encourages viewers to view themselves as responsible citizens by taking action if they believe something inappropriate is happening around them (Maloney, 2010).

Entertainment in Nigeria has had a significant impact on governance. In particular, brave examples from Falz, Macaroni and Ojo illustrate the important role entertainers play in bringing together different sections of society, uniting them for a common cause.
In the world of entertainment, there are several ways in which entertainers have been able to impact
governance.

Firstly, Falz has been instrumental in bringing about change at every level by standing up
for students and minorities and challenging administrations on matters of policy. Secondly, there is Mr Macaroni who has always used his platform right from his university days to challenge judgmental attitudes towards minorities in Nigeria. Lastly, Iyabo Ojo has helped redefine self-worth amongst youths through her contribution as a philanthropist and humanitarian by standing up for matters concerning women and children.

As a society, we have always been under the influence of entertainment. We have used our favorite stars and celebrities for political campaigns and elections, despite the fact that they are usually hired for a specific reason.
The impact of entertainment in governance is that it has made me think differently. It has not only made me rethink what is known, but it has also given me a new way of thinking. The ability to innovate and progress is what we need most from our leaders, who are constantly being innovated by the world around them. This means that even if it may not seem like there are changes happening
around us, there are many things happening all the time and if you focus on one thing at a time then make sure that your conscious process is perfect so that what you do for society will be blessed through your actions.

Efforts to influence the Nigerian government and its people are not new. Many countries have tried their hands at this, but very few have been successful. Among the many reasons for this, one of the most prominent ones is that our governing bodies are somewhat slow with the process of changing
their ways and adapting to new paradigms.

However, there have been many examples that show us that entertainment can impact governance positively in Nigeria in a way that will improve performance.
