In light of the recent Supreme Court judgment, which extended the validity of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) currency redesign policy to December. Some deposit money banks have started paying out old notes.
According to Politainment.net reports, certain commercial banks begin paying old notes in the cities of Kano and Abuja

However, some branches of Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) have issued old notes, while others like Polaris Bank in Abuja have not yet begun to do so.

Meanwhile, a report came in that a staff at Polaris Bank. Confided that only old N200 notes were still being issued. Saying that they had not received any new directive on what to do.

Although, the apex court observed that no reasonable notice was given before the implementation of the Naira policy.
