*Edo State College of Education, Igueben*

It is a blatant lie from the pit of hell that College of Education, Igueben has become moribund!

All existing state colleges of Education (Abudu Campus, Afuze and Igueben) were converted to one state college of Education with three campuses. The main campus of the College of Education is at Igueben, to train teachers for secondary and Technical Schools. The second campus is at Abudu to train primary school and Early Childhood Education teachers and Afuze to train Physical and Health Education teachers and Special Education Teachers.

Of the three hirtherto state colleges that were collapsed into one, Igueben College of Education was the youngest in terms of when it was established. it is a function of Gov. Obaseki's broad mindedness that the youngest of the three colleges (Igueben) has been made the main campus.
The plan to convert the three colleges into one started in 2017. All the colleges then complied with the directives to stop admitting new students and focus on graduating the existing ones. Abudu and Afuze complied except for Igueben. A cabal wanted to frustrate the plans. Due to the shenanigans of some people at the Igueben campus, the birthing of the new state College of Education was delayed for 5yrs!

By the retrogressive behavior of these people, many Governors would have relocated the main campus to another community. But Gov. Obaseki persisted, that he promised the people of Igueben the main campus of the College of Education.

The old Igueben College never conducted a graduation ceremony for their students, because for many years the school was not accredited. The Lecturers had to be forced by withholding their salary before they marked and released the results of the last batch of students. Some students who graduated since 2012 did not have results. All of these backlog of results and certificates had to be cleared before the new College took off.

The enemies of the people are within. Beware of merchants of lies.
