It is Like claiming that the family of Jack-Rich a family of returning igbo slave dumped in Rivers by colonial maters is now part of the founding fathers of Rivers State and should be accorded special privileges. I know you have your bias already but try to be open minded and if that is too difficult at least be sincere. You're either oblivious of how his heritage became a debate or you have just allowed your bias get the best of you 2 Likes |

Iamgrey5: Of course Same as Salvage, Coker etc.
However, the Boy(LP presidential candidate) doesn't know that in Lagos we have different Yoruba groups that have settled in Lagos at different times even before the returning slaves ever came into Lagos island.
Places like Abule Egba, Ijesha, Ikoyi, Sango-tedo represent different Yoruba sub groups such as Oyo, Egba and Ijesha who settled in Lagos at different times.
We also have Tapa (Yoruba way of referring to Nupe) families that came into Lagos just like we have in Ibarapa part of Oyo state. One of their prominent Son is Balogun Tapa Oshodi.
This is sperate from Awori, Ilaje, Ijebu and Ijebu-remo which are different Yoruba sub groups amongst the original aboriginals of Lagos State.
So for him to come from a family of returning slave and question other Yorubas authencity in Lagos is actually very silly. Wehdone the historian of our time, but is Tilumbu a Lagosian? Is Ambode a Lagosian? And also so many power brokers in Lagos ain't even Lagosians. 1 Like |

KGD10: It was the Awori who rehabilitated the Rhode slave ancestor, along other slave ancestors. Other regions such as the South East didn't even rehabilitate them except the SW region. But guess what? Chinedu Rhodes has got the nerves to insult Yoruba while living on Yoruba soil just because of the useless Ungrateful toxic Igbo cocumbine his dad had.
Anyway, the Yoruba always say that a home that's got peace and harmony, the bastard has yet to develop. We know the bastard. Chinedu Rhodes who eventually disgraced his father! When una tire, una go rest GRV is the next Lagos state governor It is LP top to bottom 3 Likes |

It's quite amusing to see the same people who insist that Lagos is a "no man's land" now trying so hard to convince the same people the call "Yaribas", "Afonjas" and worse that Chinedu Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivor is the very epitome of an "omoluabi". If Lagos is the "no man's land" you insist it is, why does Rhodes-Vivor's ancestry suddenly matter? And if his somehow being "more Lagosian" in his ancestry makes him preferable to the incumbent, doesn't that put the lie to the "no man's land" line of argument?
You people are shameless in your brazen inconsistency, willing to tell any lie and embrace any sudden about-turn in your eagerness to grab political power. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Oga if they mess up we pursue them. The idea is that we want to build a structure that is based on we the youths not a structure based on an old man with plenty money that will be dictating the person that will be our governor. Just imagine what he did to ambode. Sanwo olu is a great guy but we want to destroy that structure that brought him in. So we are sorry we ain't voting for him.
