Prior to becoming a service provider with CAC and PayPal online, I never knew something like social media marketing existed.

Back in the day all I did was jump on social media platforms and just be messing around without any definite purpose or understanding of what these platforms can do for me.

That said, these are the four things I wish i knew as I started my journey in the online world.

I. Profile optimization: this is an important aspect of a business owner online. You profile should be optimized to let people know exactly what you do.

II. Networking/Connecting: social media has made it possible for you to meet random persons easily without having to leave the comfort of your home. You can easily connect with people and let them know what you do as a business person.

III. Content creation: if there's one thing that almost all the social media platforms have, it is the post button. This ensures that we post contents based on things that we hold dearly to us. And as a business person it is only right we post contents relating to our business. This way others can see it and know that we offer such services.

IV. Marketing: this is a by product of the point above. As a business owner it is imperative that we market our products and services. We can only do this through content creation. As we continue to create contents based on what we do, we are inadvertently marketing our products and services.
