There are several reasons why an educated and career successful woman would find it hard to find a good man to marry:

1. Attitude. Women in this position are often more demanding and domineering- a real turn-off for most men.

2. Availability -By the time a woman such as this has finished her education and established herself in her chosen field, most of the available men have already married. If the woman is looking for a good available man, the selection to choose from is even smaller.

3. Pride- By this I mean the man’s pride. The typical male role is as the provider for his family. To marry such a woman means that he would be less of a provider than his wife, or maybe not a provider at all if he is a stay at home parent.

The woman cannot do much about #2 & 3, but she can do something about #1. I know women who have had to fight and claw to be successful in their career, but they don’t let that carry over into their personal life. They actually prefer to be somewhat submissive in their personal relationships.

In most cases though, it is most likely a combination of these. For example, if such a woman had an air of superiority, any available sane man would definitely avoid a relationship with her.

The best possibility a woman like this has at happiness, is to find someone on the same socio-economic level as her.
