Nigerian Christians Are Worse Than Nigerian Pagans in Crime and Evil

To be honest, I have not seen any significant difference in the general behaviour of the majority of Nigerians who claim to be Christians and the Nigerians who are pagans.

I have been very active in missionary work in Nigeria from Lagos, the most populous Nigerian city where I preached the Good News on public transport buses, on the streets and in different houses for over 11 years and have also preached the Good News with the Assemblies of God Church and alone on Bonny Island in Rivers State.

I have been employed by Nigerian Christians and Nigerian Muslims for years.

I have found out the following facts in Nigeria:

* Pagans dread their Juju more than Nigerian Christians dread God.
Because, pagans who swear with their Juju hardly break their oath, but the Christians who swear on the Holy Bible when taking the oath of office and at weddings, break their vows and are the worst offenders in the abuse and misuse of office.

* The only significant difference between the Nigerians who claim to be Christians and those who claim to be Pagans is only in worship.
The so called Nigerian Christians are church-goers and the pagans go to their shrine.
But afterwards, it is business as usual all over Nigeria as both the majority of Nigerian Christians and the pagans are regular partners in crime and evil, in telling lies as fish drink water, breaking wedding vows, cheating and exploiting their employees and co-workers, doctoring and forging documents, misappropriating public and private funds, back-biting, slander, avarice, caprice, malice, prejudice, robbery, thuggery, and other crimes and evils.
They do horrible, terrible and dreadful things indoors and outdoors; in their homes and workplaces.

I have seen how Nigerian Christians mastermind cloak and dagger plots against their fellow Christians after sharing the Word of God. They close the copies of the Holy Bible and put the Word of God aside and plan evils behind the back of their fellow Christians.

One church elder in a Pentecostal church suddenly screamed at the wife, "Today, you shall see the devil in me. And today, you and I will meet with the devil."
The frightened wife shuddered. He had spat on their 9 year old daughter earlier when the girl wet her bed.
The fact is, his misplaced aggression was caused by his guilty conscience, because his wife saw the text messages from another woman in his GSM phone as the strange woman confessed and professsed her intention to commit adultery with him.
This was the same man who was shaking and speaking in tongues in his prayers at home and at their Pentecostal church.
Then later, he yelled at the wife, "If you provoke me again, I will crush and crush you to pieces!".
This was the same man who swore to the oath of matrimonial fidelity with the Holy Bible over 12 years ago. Now talking of an appointment with the devil.

Jesus Christ said, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

They gossip and slander their fellow brethren in unprintable words.

Two so called Christian women trading at the same market often curse and swear at themselves as they trade both goods and evils in the market while the pagans watch their shameless display of anger and wickedness in utter shock and disbelief. Then, laugh at them when they later see them in their Sunday best going to church to pay lip service and eye service to God.

In fact, the so called Nigerian Christians are worse than the Nigerian pagans in committing sins and crimes.
Nigerian pagans dread adultery more than Nigerian Christians.
Nigerian pagans dread robbery more than Nigerian Christians.
So, the so called Nigerian Christians are not holier than Nigerian pagans.

As Jesus Christ said, by their fruits you shall know them.
And not by their going to church and shouting lip service to God.

The greediness and wickedness of the so called Nigerian Christians make them to persist in their wanton corrupt practices in private and public offices.
They are hypocrites, parasites, prostitutes, liars, evil doers and lovers of themselves and not true followers or worshippers of God.
Because, they only read the Holy Bible, but they don't practice the tenets of true Christianity.

A church worker confessed to a leading Nigerian model that he took two years to plan and sex-attack a beautiful young lady to spite a fellow Christian brother who wanted to marry her.
Another church worker who was a banker, pounced on a female visitor and raped her. He escaped being jailed, because the church begged the violated and traumatized lady to forgive him. He has returned to his work, but she is still nursing the scars of her physical and psychological injuries.

Another lay believer who was married to a Nigerian banker with four children would go upstairs to sexaully harass the girlfriend of his cousin whilst his cousin was at work.   

Another Christian couple cheated and exploited a fellow member of the same congregation and when the pastor summoned them, they ran away from the church and later they broke up as the husband cheated the wife and left her in the lurch in Nigeria.

I often prefer to sit at the back of the hall in a Pentecostal church in Finima on the Bonny Island, in Rivers state, Nigeria. Then, my sister told me that anyone found guilty of committing sin was relegated to the back benchers. And she told me about the young handsome leader of the youth wing who was caught committing fornication as I saw him sitting at the back. I was amused. I told her, I did not mind to sit with the sinners.
So, those who think they have not sinned, sit on the seats in the front rows of the church.
What a collection of hypocrites.
This only shows you the way these so called Christians go on with their erroneous and ambiguous life of conceit and deceit. They pretend to be holier than others, but are actually worse.
Slander is worse than fornication.
Adultery is worse than robbery.
But a Nigerian judge who is an adulterer will sit down and pass judgment on a common thief in court and sentence him to jail. But later, the same judge would go and sleep with the wife of another man or collect bribes.

You see Nigerian police officers who claim to be Christians collect bribes and frame up innocent suspects and even murder innocent people.

Who is fooling whom?
God cannot not be mocked or deceived.

It is better to stop both, these so called Christians and Muslims from swearing oath with the Holy Bible or Koran. Because, they have only sworn curses on thmselves, their children and on their private and public offices in Nigeria. And that is why Nigeria is the most corrupt country in Africa and one of the worst countries in human under-development in the world.

That is why the bible said "judgement will begin in the house of God"

Is it that bad now?

The Church has lost its morality and that is why the Devil is roaring in the Church. The river of the Blood of Jesus is wasting. Satan has made a great feast of the soul of men.

The only reason why he is winning is that the gospel is watered down. It is Activity instead of Holy ghost. People that are called by his name are not working perfect. The Prosperity message is overemphasized. You will see people that will say so should we be poor so that we can please God.

John Wesley was a University don He was rich but was poor He dinned with the Mighty. He built Churches he built Orphanages But above all he was disciplined HOLY MAN. When he Died he had 6 pounds a cloak etc.

People are searching for money they seek God because of Money and God is aware of this. The Church is a place where we now have an army of Evil men growing.

We can only go on our knees and preach the hard gospel.

And after a decade of missionary work with the largest Pentecostal churches in Nigeria, I have to state the facts.
The Pentecostal churches are not holier than the orthodox Roman Catholic, Methodist and Anglican churches.
The Deeper Christian Life lady in long gown is not holier than the hottie in denim pants from St. Dominic's in Yaba, Lagos. And the hottie from St.Dominic's is not holier than the booty shaking babe doing her pole dancing in the night club in Ikeja.

I have seen worse things coming out from the mouth of a so called Christian sister than the smoke coming from the mouth of the pot-smoking babe on Ojuelegba Steeet, in Lagos.

I will not discriminate against anyone of them by their appearances, meeting places or dwelling places.

By their fruits I shall know them, heart and soul.

As God said in First Corinthians 13,
There are three things that will endure-faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.

If we truly love our neighbours as ourselves, we will not cheat, exploit, lie, rob, steal, kill, back-bite, slander, bear false witness, misappropriate revenue allocations and other public funds, and commit other crimes or evils.

Pensioners are suffering and dying, because some office holders have misappropriated their funds and the top banks in Nigeria connived to hold these ill-gotten money.
Most of these public officers and bank executives confess and profess to be Christians. And on Sundays, they go to church to give fat offerings and ill-gotten tithes to their pastors.

Do you know how many Christian ministers became richer from the bribes they collected from the indicted ex-governors on EFCC List?
Bribes to keep shut and not to speak out against the evils they did.

Are these so called ministers of God who skipped the chapters of the Holy Bible where God said, we must not accept the persons of the wicked, not evil and wicked?

That was why our Lord Jesus Christ, booted them out of the house of God in Jerusalem.
But today, they are the title-holders in churches.

But can man bribe God?

Love is the key to true Christianity and not fallacy and hypocrisy in the masquerade of religion.

@Orikinla, regarding your first post, I can't draw a line between your definition of a Christian & a church-goer.

A church-goer is not automatically a Christian, and you rightly quoted that ' by their fruits you shall know them'. The scenarios described (from their fruits) sounds more like those of church-goers. It is probably true that most people are plain church-goers who do not have a personal experience with the Lord and are not Christians.

If the above is true, your title should have been something like "Nigeria church-goers are worse than Nigeria pagans in crime and evil".

In my personal opinion the title is misleading as it suggests that true Christians who worship the Lord our God in spirit and in truth are worse than pagans.

Nevertheless, I totally agree with the contents of your post, a look at the fruits of Nigeria when compared to the number of Church-goers is also a testimony of your post,

Its true for all religions but not all the so called christians are bad.Majority may be, cause of what is going on now but u should know that not all are bad. We still have some that are still faithfull.U might just have dealt with 1% of christians that does not mean those few u have met will stand for all others.NOOOOOOOOOOOOooo

It is even written in the bible that not all that calls Lord will enter into the kingdom of God.Let us try to do our best and leave the rest for God to do.Many are called but few are chosen.
Elijah's action in the bible was also somehow similar to ur reaction/observation now, but do u know God's response to Elijah's lamentation about the unfaithfulness of believers?God told him not to flex his muscles that HE GOd still have more than one thousand people that has not knelt down for baal/that are still faithfull.Elijah could not believe that cos it was not possible for him to have met all the believers in the whole world/country to have said they were all the same.If our own generation is corrupt we still have people of old known as the old school lapel like baba obadare,Idahosa,baba Fakeye,baba Adeboye,Young George Adegboye, Gbile Akaani,baba Kumuyi, baba Olukoya,baba farombi,baba Wilson Badejo,mama oluwasnmi,baba Oyedepo and thousand of others .

The relevance of the OP for me is not that it is new information. No, we all know the facts. But In spite of all that some of these self professing Christian will not stop putting on their holier than thou act. It is so irritating.

I got into the cab the other day and the cab driver was taking me the long way round so that I would pay more. I warned him and he protested saying, of all the most ridiculous arguments, "I can't do that, I'm a christian".
Lol! The more reason for me to be careful.

If christianity is supposed to wash away your sins and make you a better person then the entire project has been an abject failure, because the majority of christians I've met are rotten to the core.

The only way out is if the majority of people professing christianity are not christians and in fact have nothing to do with christianity, then we can say the christianity project is still viable. This is the option that I believe is the case.

Some of the men listed above are the ones responsible for why christianity as gone way ward. Imagine listing someone like Idahosa who is responsible for starting the reckless form of pentecostal proserity preaching that has brought christianity to disrepute today as a prophet of Old.

Those that practice christianity as religion are not necessarily true christians. I identified some set of christians on another thread who rely on traditional gods to clear mess for them - those two are pirated christians.

But real born-again christians are very few, and close to extinction, but they will be there always till christ comes. Otherwise, the world will have ended already, and we will be talking battle of amagedons.

I have seen such great evils in the churches, that right now, i am still praying to God to give me the supernatural strength to return to church now that my second-sight is so active - whenever i see a group of christians gathering and chatting, i see another thing with my second-sight.

Today, i was eating somewhere and a group of christians just coming back from church were discussing about church service, i listened for about 30 minutes. Was very sad at all i heard, just got up and walked away feeling very ashamed of what the churches have become.
