Group Blasts Lp’s Rhodes-vivour Over Campaign Promise by YorubaNiBaba(m): 5:29pm On Mar 14, 2023 |
Yoruba Leaders of Thought has described as fraudulent the promise made by the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour to make N60,000 as minimum wage if elected in Saturday’s election. The group, in a statement by its national secretary, Mr Bayo Aina, which was made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, stated that the minimum wage proposed by the candidate was not only unrealistic but an attempt to hoodwink Lagosians into voting for Labour Party in the election. Aina, former Chairman of Ekiti Fiscal Responsibility Commission, said the proposed minimum wage runs contrary to the Fiscal Responsibility Act and would deny the state government of funds to run critical sectors of the economy. The group led by an elder statesman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, explained that Rhodes-Vivour was making the promise out of ignorance of the Fiscal Responsibility Act and it shows he is not deep about governance in the country. The Fiscal Responsibility Act, he explained is meant to provide for prudent management of the nation’s resources, ensure long-term macro-economic stability of the national economy, secure greater accountability and transparency in fiscal operations within a medium-term fiscal policy framework According to him ” The candidate to have proposed to spend so much and increase recurrent expenditure by more than 30%, without indicating how the impact on the capital expenditure will be mitigated. Does he propose more taxes ? “The candidate was not only naive in making unrealistic promises, but he was also reckless and unintelligent to have proposed to go contrary to the Fiscal Responsibility Act.” He noted that implementing the 60,000 minimum wages would leave nothing or less for other critical sectors of the economy. While asking public servants in the state to reject the LP candidate and his greek gift in the Saturday election, he said Lagosians must not make the mistake of electing someone who would not improve their lots in the election He urged Lagosians to rally around Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and return him for a second term in office. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/03/group-blasts-lps-rhodes-vivour-over-campaign-promise/ mynd44 nlfpmod 5 Likes 1 Share |

GBadebo said he will stop the fraudulent payment of 5-10 billion naira monthly paid to Alpha-beta, Tinubu's scam company, use some of it to increase salaries and use the rest to do interest free loans.. 5 billion naira will pay 83, 000 staffs comfortably.. this is achievable without breaking a sweat.. He will stop funding a godfather and start giving governance to the people.. I hope you know that no lower level LASG staff lives in the city.. they live outside berger, ikotun etc because they can't afford rent there.. Sanwoolu's chief of staff sleeps at water crest hotel, Ikeja, every night.. 16 Likes 1 Share |

Paltry $80 for a month, people are shouting The N5.7 Biilion Tinubu collects will pay 95,000 workers at N60,000 a month. Since Lagos already pays N35k, all GRV needs to add is a chikili N25000 per worker. That means that GRV will need to 228000 workers to exhaust what Tinubu alone steal from Lagos. We have not looked at other APC thieves ooo! GRV, carry go jare! 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Na Apc group de disguise. GRV has an achievable manifesto. Once the plug is pulled off tinubu, we lagosians will begin to see the real prospects of lagos. Lagos has an IGR that is bigger than some nations in Africa but the development in the state does not tally with the financial power of the state. They are miles apart. It is not because lagos has not had leaders with great ideas. The likes of fashola, ambode and even sanwolu are guys with great ideas but lagos has been run like a pyramid cult. So no matter who comes in , its the same snail like speed. If the plug is pulled off from the source, you will see a lagos that will marvel you. 3 Likes |

With all the emoluments that follows? Do you know what it amounts? Or it's only basic salary he'll increase You people still have a lot to learn. Secondly, where will he get the money if he stops the private company generating task for Government? Government workers will now be generating task and be remitting it 100%?
