I observed with Obi being the only non Muslim among the top four contenders, if all the nation's Christians were to vote for him, while the other top contenders who are all Muslims share the Muslim votes, Obi should have pulled out a master stroke political victory

It was stated severally here that Atiku has never been a vote puller up North but many didn’t listen. Also, Kwanwaso’s sphere of influence is limited to Kano and Jigawa states. He was only useful in diverting otherwise Atiku’s votes for Tinubu.

Many of us knew even before the election that BAT was going to win the North.

Finally, Obi’s ipob leanings and obvious bigotry (Igbo LP officials in northern states etc.) made him a very unattractive candidate up North and religious sentiment was not enough to dilute it.
