UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 83.

Matthew 22:37-40 (KJV) "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

83. Faith and love is how we take possession of all the promises and blessings of God in Christ Jesus. Faith in all the blessings and promises of God for us in Christ Jesus. And love for all human beings that Christ died for. Faith works only by love. All the blessings and promises were given to us for the sake of God's love for souls and bringing all men into sonship in Christ Jesus. Not for us to acquire and enjoy them in coveteousness. God loves the prosperity of the saints but He hates coveteousness.

All the blessings of God in Christ Jesus are already ours by inheritance as sons of God because of the blood of Jesus, but it's only by faith we take personal possession of them. By grace God gave Abraham the land of Canaan but it was by faith that Abraham possessed it by leaving his father's house to a land he did not know. By grace also God gave the Israelites the land of Canaan as the promised land. In order to possess a land they had never seen or known, by faith the Israelites left Egypt not even knowing the way to the promised land. They faced all kinds of challenges as a test of their faith. Just as some of us are facing diverse challenges today with necessities of life such as food, water, clothes, shelter, marriage, children, finances, stagnation, etc. When you are in the wilderness you will always feel you are stagnated and not making any progress because in the wilderness you do not know where is east, west, north or south. You have to totally depend on the Lord for everything.

The bible says James 1:2-4 (KJV) "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." But God is warning us against making the same mistakes the Israelites did that hindered their faith from possessing their inheritance. 1Corinthians 10:5-11, 13 (KJV) "But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come...... There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

Most of the Israelites died on the way because of unbelief or lack of faith. But by grace their children crossed Jordan to possess the promises. Notice what God told them in Deuteronomy 2:24 (KJV) "Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle." The new testament fight is called the good fight of faith because it is a spiritual fight to possess the good of the land or the blessings and promises of God in Christ Jesus.The land of Canaan was already the property of the Israelites by grace because of the faith of Abraham but to enjoy it physically they have to contend for it and possess it by faith. Just as today by the grace of the faith of Jesus Christ all the blessings of God are already ours but to enjoy them physically we have to contend for them and possess them by faith. Grace be with you. Galatians 2:26; 5:7; Romans 10:9-10-13; 13:8-10; 14:23; 1Corinthians 10:1-13; Colossians 3:5; Ephesians 1:3-8,19-23; Luke 10:19; 1Timothy 2:1-4; 6:12; Deuteronomy 4:32-39; 8:17-18; 9:3-6; Hebrews 6:12; 11:8-17; Genesis 12:1-9; 2Corinthians 1:20; 11:23-33; Deuteronomy 4:32-39; 8:17-18; 9:3-6; Hebrews 6:12; 11:8-17; Numbers 14:9; 1Corinthians 3:21;

If you need healing the bible says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases. Therefore you can receive your healing now by faith in the name of Jesus. Just lay your hand on the affected area of your body and say this prayer. Father God in the name of Jesus I believe that Jesus died for my healing. I believe He took all my sickness and diseases on the cross. If He took them, then I cannot have them. Therefore I resist and I reject every sickness in my body and I confess Jesus today as my healer and I receive my healing now. Thank you Jesus that I am healed. 1Peter 2:24; Ps 107:20.
Now begin to do what you couldn't do before because of the sickness. You are healed in Jesus name.

Heaven is real, Hell is real. Jesus is coming very soon. Judgement Day is coming. But you can become a born again child of God today. The bible says If you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12.

Say this prayer: Father God have mercy on me. I come to you today in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died for me. I believe that you raised Him from the dead for my salvation. I accept Jesus in my heart today and I confess Him today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Father that today I am saved In Jesus name.

If you prayed the prayer of Salvation, pls go to a nearby bible believing Church in your area, so you can grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus. Grace be with you. To Jesus be all the glory.
