Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has directed the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation to reintroduce digital learning tablets in schools in the state.

This move is aimed at reviving the state’s education system, which has been performing poorly under the previous administration.

The governor believes that technology can play a crucial role in driving education in the state.

Under the previous administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Osun State pioneered e-learning in schools and introduced e-tablets and computers to aid learning and teaching in Osun.

This initiative benefited 300,000 students and increased the pass rate of Osun senior secondary pupils by over 193%, while also saving the state over N8.4b in annual textbook expenses.
