Scream: The Yoruba should not be your problem either because they do not aspire to conquer your region. Turn your gaze towards those who keep shouting Biafra when the majority of the Niger Deltans do not believe in Biafra. The Yoruba do not care for the Oil in Niger Dellta because they have other things to sustain their independence besides Oil, which is even available also in Yorubaland! |

DoTheNeedful: How is calling Lagos a no-mans land disrespectful? BTW, is there any Yoruba man , Igbo man or Hausa man that was born with any land in Nigeria. Bigotry and tribalism are the biggest problems of Nigeria. While other nations are empowering creative youths from anywhere among them to take over their leadership, we are fighting over who owns Lagos and Anambra state. The military did a lot to unite Nigeria. They made sucessive Igbo and Hausa men the governors of Lagos and other SW states. They also made many northerners governors in SE and vice versa. The idea was to make Nigerians realise that all the 36 states are no man's land where any Nigerian can live , do business and contest for political position Unfortunately, corrupt politicians like Onanuga have destroy this effort. They have urinates tribalism and bigotry into the mouths of our youths. That is the reason Nigeria is presently a shithole and will remain a shithole until we regard all nigerians as one and elect leaders base on competence and not base on tribalism. |

Juoflife1: Igboland is landlocked. Landlocked places don't have seaports - you need to liase with your neighbours (who don't liky you guys as well due to your covetousness) forfunctioning seaports and build roads/rails for transportation. |

Oh that is the origin of chinedu. But he's still a Yoruba man tho from Lagos state gan gan. There is a lot of inter-tribal marriages going on. Does this mean that children that are half Yoruba are bastards? Why do we allow politicians to keep using our heads? ifihearam: |

GeneralPulal:Ogun state is an artificial creation. This is just like claiming that Ijesha and Ede are one and the same because they're in Osun state. These are the ignorant souls who claim to fight for Yoruba Are you aware Ijebu have been fighting to have their own state? |

If you igbos continue the same way that led to the Nigerian civil war, una go just dey die cheaply and loosing your properties wey una no even get. Igbos are nothing but opportunists, gold diggers & ingrates. Abeg make una go try am for Kano, if them no go comot una heads. Mtcheeew… Yorubas are so open minded and welcoming, but you all think they’re fools… You are all nothing but failures.! |

shinealight: We do not have issues with our neighbours...the point is simple. If you do not want One Nigeria, let all of us go our separate ways...we and our neighbours will discuss how we will live together. No tribe in Nigeria can conquer any part of Niger Delta without the backing of the Federal governmen, even with that, it will be difficult. Igbos are not the problem of yorubas also, if not, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo won't be poor..igbos are not many in those places. Situate your problem appropriately. 1 Like |

DenreleDave: What is so special about the Governorship seat of Lagos? Two igbomen have occupied that seat in the past. I know of a young man, Ayodele, from a Yoruba background. He was born in Enugu and have lived in Enugu for over 30 years. He speaks Igbo but struggles to speak Yoruba. He knows the entire SE region but has once been to the SW hence he knows nowhere in SW. I also know of a young man, Uche, who was born in Lagos. He has lived for 35 years in Lagos, speaks Yoruba and even marry a Yoruba lady. He has never been to SE where his parents migrated from. Now if Ayodele in Enugu decides to contest for Governor of Enugu, Bigots like you in Enugu will ban him from doing so. If Uche decides to contest for Governor of Lagos, bigots like you in Lagos will go on rampage and attack the igbos in Lagos. Who really cursed Nigeria? If an educated youth like you who have friends from different tribes can write what you wrote then there is no hope for Nigeria. 1 Like |

wirinet: No, Eko already had settlements with fishermen and hunters before Benin got there. And Benin got to Lagos with the Itsekiris after their war against the Mahin (Ilaje) - in search of the Mahin leader. Eguns are part of the larger Aja people that can be found in Benin (the country) and Togo and I doubt they were anywhere in Eko at this point in history. Also, the Portuguese didn't make Eko their main trading post - the Portuguese trading was in Victoria Island which was given to them by the Ijebu and the Portuguese name for it was: Lago De Curamo. Lago De Curamo was corrupted by the Brits - to Lagos - after their arrival. The Brits went with the Portuguese name for their trading post and decided to call the whole place Lagos. |

Whether you like it or not, Igbos and other ethnic groups are major political stakeholders in Lagos. Major decisions can't be taken without putting them into consideration. For those of you asking if a Yoruba man can vie for office in the East, the Yoruba man should first leave SW, live among the Igbos, make impact then contest. The Igbos came to your land and are successful, you sef try commot from SW, go and try your luck elsewhere and stop complaining about Igbo dominance. |

DenreleDave: Why should they be allowed in HOA? Why don’t you go to their region to contest for HOA and see if they would vote for you? Everybody should stay in their region abeg, these people don’t respect boundaries. When you give them a foot, they wanna take a mile. So it’s better to avoid any familiarity in the first place. If they have all ibo senators in their region and still have ibo senators in other regions, then it doesn’t make sense again. Where’s the equality then? It means they would have more numbers than they should. Don’t start what you can’t finish o. 2 Likes 1 Share |

chokekachy: Not just by mouth. We must put a plan that can be executed rapidly within a year in place. This should include revoking C of Os in choice locations across the state and reallocating them. Choice locations should only be owned by the Yorubas - igbos can be tenants there if they choose to or relocate to their erosion ravaged land in SE. It is also high time we rebuilt Ladipo and Alaba markets and give them a befitting facelift. How can we have a market like Ladipo in that terrible state in the middle of Lagos? It should be demolished immediately, and a 5-year plan put together to rebuild it. |

Some of you have been waiting for Godot on a civil war that will transfer Igbo wealth to you. Don't hustle o, after serving Tinubu your children will serve Seyi. Their trick is to sell the Igbo narrative to you, you will become distracted fighting the Igbos while they loot you recklessly. Every four years your chains are reinforced and the padlocks changed. Lmao. |
