Take this correction, Catriona Laing is an HIGH COMMISSIONER to Nigeria.

She is not an Ambassador.

This is because she is from a Commonwealth country to another Commonwealth country.

That is Britain to Nigeria.

The same way her Nigerian counterpart to Britain is an High Commissioner.

If it is the United States we can use an American Ambassador to Nigeria or the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States.

Nigeria has High Commissioner to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Nepal, New Zealand, Australia, etc
