Just buy plaster used for wounds and wrap round the finger .not too tight.Then drop bitterleaf juice on it occasionally.
3 days tops he'll get tired.

Whatever you do, do not beat the child… you can help by removing his/her thumb whenever he/she puts it in his/her mouth and explain to them that it’s not good….

My 2+ son holds his belly button while at it.. With that, I know that he is a chronic sucker😄... Though I don't blame him, he took after me🤭..
Funny enough my first born sucked his finger as well.

He'll outgrow it really. Just keep doing what you've been doing to make him stop. But beating him is not an option.
