_Speaking on the day’s agenda, Senator Ubah disclosed that the event which was sponsored from his private purse was organized by YPP to appreciate ndị Nnewi for their strong supports for him over the years_

The Senator representing Anambra South and winner of the 2023 Senatorial Election in the District Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, reassured the people of the Senatorial District that giving them adequate support and uncommon empowerment will always be his priority. Senator Ubah made the remarks while addressing the people of Nnewi North Local Government Area at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi-Ozubulu. In his speech, the Senator also maintained that nation building can never be achieved if citizens are not adequately empowered to achieve their ambitions in life. He also reassured his constituents that he will leave no stone unturned in partnering with relevant authorities to empower and support them.

Speaking on the day’s agenda, Senator Ubah who was flanked by his wife Mrs Uche Ubah, the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka and winner of the just concluded Nnewi North State Constituency Election Sir Augustine Ikedoji disclosed that the event which was sponsored from his private purse was organized by his party, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to appreciate ndị Nnewi for their strong supports for him over the years. He further disclosed that the event brought the “Thank you Tour” of YPP in Nnewi North Local Government Area to an end, and appreciated the people of the community for voting massively for the party in the just concluded National Assembly and State Assembly Elections. Senator Ubah also appreciated ndị Nnewi for standing firm with him over the years and reassured them that he will always do them and the people of Anambra South proud at the Red Chamber.

The Anambra South Senator also informed the gathering that several empowerment programmes facilitated by his office are captured in the 2023 Appropriation Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and with such provisions, the implementation of the programmes in various parts of Anambra South is imminent. He also disclosed that between 16th March, 2023 and 17th March, 2023, hundreds of youths and women from Nnewi North and Orumba South local government areas of Anambra State benefitted from a skill acquisition programme facilitated by his office and executed in partnership with the National Productivity Centre, Abuja. Senator Ubah further disclosed that during the two-day programme, participants were trained in fields like Bons Making, Chin Chin Making, Cake Making, Pea Nut Making, Perfume Making, Antiseptic Production, Shampoo Production, Body Cream Production, Disinfectant Production, Liquid Soap Production, Emulsion Paint Production, Texcoat Paint Production, Oil Paint Production and Screeding Paint Production. He also reassured his constituents that he will not relent in discovering, empowering and developing young talents, and urged them to remain focused and law abiding.

Also speaking, the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka appreciated the people of Nnewi for always standing firm with their beloved son in whom they are well pleased, Senator Ubah. Chief Onyeka also appreciated the community members for voting massively for YPP in the just concluded National Assembly and State Assembly Elections, and reassured them that the Foundation will always work closely with the Senator to ensure that the interests of the people of Anambra South Senatorial District are well protected and promoted in the National Assembly.

Other highlights of the epic event were presentations of valuable gift items like Motorcycles, Tricycles, High Power Generators, Point of Sale (POS) Kiosks, Electric Grinding Machines, Gas Stoves, Sewing Machines, and units of Solar Energy Facility equipped with POS Machines, mobile phone charging ports and a backup power supply to residents selected through a raffle draw as well as party leaders by Senator Ubah. Also presented by the Senator were Electric Kettles, Standing Fans, Food Items, Mugs, and Wrappers.
