Minimum Educational Qualification

All applicants must have at least 4 credits or passes (including English and Math) in not more than two sittings of WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants for tradesmen/women must have a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate. The webpage has further information.

Qualifications Fundamentals

1. Candidates must be single, born in Nigeria, and have a National Identity Card/NIN or BVN.
2. Candidates must be physically, mentally, and medically fit according to Nigerian Army standards.
3. Candidates must not have any criminal convictions from a court of law.
4. Applicants must have a valid birth certificate/age declaration that has been approved by the National Population Commission, a hospital, or a local government council, or a valid age declaration.
5. Candidates must have a valid state of origin certificate.
6. Male applicants must be 1.68 meters tall, while female candidates must be 1.65 meters tall.
7. Non-trades applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 22 years old, while trades applicants must be no older than 26 years old as of April 31, 2023.
