I mean what other reason is there as to why people will love and support the same people who have (almost) ruined their lives?
A smart society encourages objectivity and discourages sentiments.
Smart people don't hold to tribal/religious sentiments at the expense of humanity. A smart person makes informed decisions.
Kleptocracy, religious and ethnic clashes and divisions, mob justice and many more are a proof that the Nigerian society is breeding very dull individuals who go on to give birth to dull children and so on and so forth.

The idea that only those at the very top of Nigerian politics are bad, is a false dichotomy.

In every classification of Nigerians, there are at least 60% terrible people.

People who worship money. People who ignore rights. Willfully ignorant people, etc.

What is the use of IQ?. If it is to solve problem, then it is the nations that solve the most problems that have the best IQs. We could say the nations with the highest per Capita academic publications but some countries have a lot of young people and therefore academic paper output will be low. Some countries have their people travelling for masters and PhD, therefore output will be low as their scholars are publishing in foreign journals. Rich countries publish a lot but they have quality post graduate programs with many non nationals publishing there. In that regards the UK is number one on a per Capita basis but in gross number China is number one while US is number 2. Papers in China are written more by local scholars but the USA and the UK have many people from all over the world etc. Then to be really considered as being intelligent, you must be able to point to a thesis you have written, IQ test counts for zero if there is nothing concrete to show for it. If you are not an English speaker, you have already lost IQ points etc etc
