The Returning Officer for the Abia State governorship election, Professor Nnenna Oti, who is also the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, has shared her experience of how she stood her ground to ensure that votes were counted during the recently concluded election.

Despite being offered money and threatened, Oti refused to compromise the integrity of the election.

She made this known during her return to the school on Tuesday, where she was given a hero’s welcome by students and staff of the institution.
