where is the peaceful
protest here with different kind of weapons? Is this how Oyinbo protest?

Is this the protest and topic of discussion.

People were shot for peacefully protesting and are here celebrating this tyranny and maltreatment.

Tribalism aside you are heartless and as it stands you are the most senseless lady on Nairaland. No cap but fact.

You don't want to vote and don't believe hey should've voted for but you still won't let them go.

Igbos will leave you all someday to marry the north or marry each other and compare.

Thanks to you and you kinds for making realize my very grandpa words that "the igbos can never be loved in Nigeria."

When you protest in a lawless country like Nigeria, what do you hope to achieve? Lost of lives?

Hope you we all know the scores now. When some lawless elements start to balance the sheet , let us be counting also .

I wonder who trains our security operatives and the orientation they are given about life.
All I see is increase in the incident of sneak attacks on security personnel’s.
God fix this nation, we need peace and end to wanton waste of lives and properties

Why not stage your peaceful protest before the election? Why after the election when your preferred candidate lost? I've never seen any style of politicking as dumb as yours

Let me throw the question back to you and ask why YOU would much prefer the protest for the release of Mazi Kanu to have been done BEFORE the elections!? How can you say Peter Obi ‘lost’ the election!? According to who….the compromised and ineffective INEC or is it according to APC e-thugs and minions like you!? Can you swear on the life of your immediate family that the senile old crook actually won a free, fair and credible election…..free from voter suppression, intimidation, vote buying, blatant cooking of figures and collusion of the Nigerian police!?

If the protest had happened before the elections, IPOB and their sympathisers would have been accused of trying to frustrate Peter Obis’ bid! They had said they were not interested in the elections, and called off the sit-at-home to show good faith and so they wouldn’t be accused of working for one party over the other!

5 people were killed for just protesting peacefully and all you could do is to mock the deads & applaud the killers... I hope when the table turns against these killers, you wouldn't come here to lament that the security personnel are human beings with families & love ones too

They told no lie. The systemic hate and cleansing in Nigeria is alarming. That is why we want sensible powers aka great countries like the USA, Israel, and UK, to get involved and assist us in solving this ethnic cleansing.

Some people are already looking at the situation with fear. They are feeling targeted. Let us hope they don't target back and even go as far as guerilla style for survival. They might even start using movement disruptors, set types and magnetic types. What they are doing is scary? ethnic cleansing igbo Christians for their beliefs. But that fat roundabout extreme muslim dude named dokubo, an israeli ill wisher, an america power hater, a uk hater, was allowed to display weapons in a protest.

igbos need to keep foreign powers we respect informed, but will soon start defending oneself. Anyone can see that for 50years, the focus of the internal and only enemies was igbo oppression and targeted disruptions. Igbos are tired, and want fairness, but their focus is hate guided, so it seems they will always remain this way.

The forces are not equal and don't represent trust, so we shouldn't blame peoples fears.

May God continue to bless the USA
May God continue to bless Israel and UK

The main powers we see as fair and trustworthty

In your dream!

But you people just proved it.

When rumours of Mazi Kanu about to be released surfaced, I can remember the media sweep by many Igbos about it being a game by the APC to water down your Obi political movement. A lot of you agitated for him to remain there. I was on Dr Damages show a lot. I followed Njenje media. Your twitter warriors from anambra1st to nefertiti, I followed all their posts and their abundant followers. You people joined alliances with people from edo, yoruba and even hausas to mock anything IPOB or freedom.

Now una wan play hide-and-seek? Y'all must think everyone is a dunce you can manipulate with ur wiles. Baba go and sit down.

The fact is this country Nigeria is evil.

The secret code of Nigeria police and military in this zoo is not to enforce rule of law or protect you but to defend the corrupt quota system at all costs.

That is why you often hear something like bandits and kidnappers are just businessmen according to el Rufai, but those fighting for justice like IPOB are terrorists.

If you are a sensible person in this country, you should be wary of Nigeria military even more than Boko Haram.

Even some of these Boko Haram fighters are also victims of this quota system defended by Nigeria army, like those almajiri kids being recruited into the armed group, if they had been given a better life, they might have considered a more decent path than joining the Boko Haram.
