...Commends Kwara State Government for his support to women in the just concluded election

North Central Woman Leader of All Progressives Congress, Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu has appealed to the North Central Governors to ensure more women are given appointments into their cabinets to make up for the poor representation of women in elective positions. She said this provided the perfect opportunity to right this wrong.

She made this appeal through her media team on Tuesday April 04, 2023.

While speaking she commended the Kwara state Governor H.E Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman for supporting five House of Assembly female candidates from the primaries to the general elections were they were all successfully elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress into the Kwara State House of Assembly.

She further urged North Central Governors to include more women in significant positions within their cabinet.

She asked all the Governor elects to recall the sacrifices the women made with little or no support in many instances during the campaigns. She further stressed that the women had paid their dues and it is imperative that they are rewarded in kind.

She called on all the women to dust off their cvs and begin to lobby for opportunities in the new governments being formed, as they are as deserving as their male colleagues .

She pledged her continuous support and loyalty to the women of the North Central and assured them that she will do all in her power to ensure that they are appointed into positions in their respective states.
