Oga, you've started with these your write ups for your pay masters, you are now blaming the citizens for the failure of government.

Clap for your self....

As if it's the citizens that chooses the projects govt executes. Is it the citizens that borrows money and then in return, steals the money?

Every other arms indirectly rest on the executive. The president or president elect has a huge stake of who leads both the red and green Chambers. He approves who heads the judiciary or Supreme Court. He appoints the various military heads and can also indirectly determine the fate of a governor if he chooses to

I align with your thought. This APC government is a serial failure. Took our debt profile from about 20tr to over 80tr naira in 8yrs with very poor economic policies. Today we're talking about conducting census with $1.8b, the highest in the world. Even India far populated than us barely use more than half this amount

The NIGERIANS citizens deserves better. There's no other way to put it, this administration has failed

Stop blaming the citizen. If only we get few good leaders in places… it will flow down
Are the citizens different from their leaders? If you change all the leaders today with ordinary citizens, will it be better? Hell no.
Your leadership is a microcosm of your society.

Comparative analysis is a factor to determine the standard condition of an individual and place.

Never you compare a country that has export advantage to another. Never you compare a country that is "welfare centred" to a country that is not. Developed countries have good citizen data base while a nation like Nigeria don't have. Never you compare a country that is endemic in corruption to another. Never you compare a country that is highly insecure to another that is stable in the aspect of securing lives and properties.

Exchange rate is not the only factor that Nigerians want to live in developed nations.

Please you people should showing us roads and trains and expecting us to clap for this government. Of what use are they if people are not safe and alive to use them. The primary work of government is to safeguard lifes and properties, this government has failed woefully in that regard. The Funny things is, this president watch while his kingsmen go about killing people for no just reason. People are not safe anywhere. In the city, villages, on the road, on the train, no where is safe. They kill people in the villages, they say is farmers and herders clash. Tell me, those in the IDP camps, what is the justification for attacking and killing them. By the inaction of the government they have enabled the killing of many Nigerians. So nothing they will do that can be Celebrated. You think is for nothing the president was stoned in his own state, there were tired and being killed for nothing.

Hmmmmm. Until most citizens divert their attentions away from Abuja and start holding their councilors, local government chairmen, lga house of assembly members, House of representatives members senators, commissioners and governors responsible and to account for the funds disbursed to them, Nigeria will never change. I can remember between 1999 and 2007, councilors were executing road projects in my town. But today, na the president everybody dey shout.

They are too lazy to think beyond the president.

Obviously, everyone is to blame for the precarious state of the country. The leaders and the citizens.

Change can start from both ends from the top( Leaders) to the bottom (Citizens) and vice versa but I believe the best change will come from the bottom (Citizens) to the Top (Leaders).

Let's not deceive ourselves, Our leaders come out from our communities, they didn't come from outside the country or from outer space. If I do my own part to raise the next generation of morally upright and God fearing kids, you do your part of doing the same. It is these kids that will become Leaders tomorrow and the country will be better for it. This way is faster and more efficient than a change from a good leader down to morally bad citizens.

Is Tinubu convicted or fingerprinted for the drug dealing case in the US as Benjamin Uba, one of Peter Obi's allies in 1993, was? Tinubu was just a victim of circumstances and that was the reason USA did not jail him. There is no amount of money that can replace a sentence in the USA. I don't know if you have seen or heard of anyone freed after relinquishing property before. As far as I know, anyone found guilty of a drug dealing offense in the USA will be jailed and still have their property seized. Tinubu has never been convicted nor fingerprinted for the crime. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to Nigeria's problem; it involves both the government and the citizens. There is no stigma attached to bribery among them. The electricity problem should be addressed first, that's why I didn't like the rail networks that the Buhari administration has built. For Nigeria to move forward we need uninterrupted power supply. The Bank of Industry gives out loans at low interest, but there is no electricity to get the job done. In this election, Tinubu won, and all we need to do is ask him to give us light for prosperity.

When citizens hear leaders doing nonsense what will you get? You'll hear them saying after all those in power are doing worse.

Though federal government has their shortcomings but Governors destroyed the system the most. They are the ones always diverts the local governments funds, and without functioning local governments that are very close to the masses, we are going no where in terms of development.

We deserve the kind of leaders we have. An average citizen has that "reap off" mentality at any slightest opportunity. From the POS attendant,to the pump attendant at the filling station,to a school child. It is pathetic! We are a function of our leaders! The leaders are selected from the citizens. Don't even talk about the attitude of the civil servants. Go to their offices and see how they carry themselves as demi-gods. God help you if you are there with a complaint that requires their assistance. You are own your own if you don't know anybody. The list is endless!

initially, i used to think that only the leaders were responsible for the ugly narratives in our nation, but recently i realized that the citizens cannot be exonerated from the situation in Nigeria.
the leaders are also the citizens, they do not fall from the sky.
the basic question should be ; between the citizens and the leaders, who could successfully drive the change, for Nigeria 's positive rebirth ?
the citizens see nothing wrong with their evil leaders, because of tribal and religious affiliation, while the leaders are not willing to provide credible and responsible leadership that could deny them , their luxurious lifestyle and demi-god posturing attitude.
Nigeria - the most complicated country, where anything goes.
