That's true the video narrate how the yorubas called the igbos their children so that the soldiers won't kill them.

The love have been long there but we are drifting off it.

Hate is what is holding them back. They will continue to lose if they can't get rid of that hateful nature in them

But why did the government say nothing about this event?
The war is behind us. We have all moved on. On the front burner, we have the case of inec select president, who happens to be a notorious drug baron. We are all saying in one voice, a drug baron MUST never rule nigeris

jerk:
you want them to support a drug lord as a president for you to be happy abi? Where is Osibanjo and why didn't you present him as the flag bearer? Must everyone support your tribesman despite his controversial life history. Even majority of your tribesmen supported Obi. Go to social media and see how they are abusing him.
Call a spade a spade.
But you want us to support an incompetent Obi just to make you happy.....give us Umahi or Ngozi okonjo iweala or even ifeanyo Uba or ogbonnaya Onu.
Must everybody support PO despite his incompetence
Call a spade a spade

What an affront for igbos to decide who a whole whole tribe will put forward for leadership....Haba
Its this kind of mentality that breeds resentment, how will majority of tribe want someone and igbos will insist its someone else they should chose...that was how they voted in Obj against the wishes of majority of yorubas who preferred Olu falae and if we talk now they will be screaming we voted Obj yen yen yen

Until igbos learn to respect others wishes....them go dey collect woto woto.......this is just the begining, una never see something.....wetin dey pain me be say BAT will still include them in his government just like he did as Lagos governor, how i wish he is as clannish as Buhari

When you pick arms against the Federal Republic, what were you expecting? Hugs and Kisses?

People are killed, animals are killed and properties are destroyed during wars.

War is not good but Asaba massacre and some of others like it was a pure acts of genocide which the perpetualtors should be in jail but sadly are even celebrated today.

Go and arrest them nah, and see another genocide. When you pick up arms against the government, what do you expect? Hugs and Kisses?

You have been saying this since the end of the civil war. We are still expecting your payback. It will be very interesting. Not even a single human will remain in your tribe to tell the story.

Igbos killed during the civil war too.. so what is all the tears for? Or were biafran troops carrying sticks and toy guns to fight war??

The sad even of civil war could have been avoided had it been the Igbo coup of 15 January, 1966 didn't take place.. about 22 people were killed in that coup by Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna et al. with not a single Igbo touched. They managed to kill leaders of thought from other ethnic groups but left their own untouched. What do you expect if not reprisals and retaliation?

The Biafran Soldiers slaughtered all the Northers in Asaba on the night they invaded the Midwest
Muritala was avenging their murders

None of it could be justified but the full Story of the Asaba Massacres must be told and too many leave out the part of the Massacre of all the Northerners in Asaba by the Biafrans when they invaded the Midwest

They would later go on to Slaughter all the Northerners they could lay their hands on in the Midwest

The Biafrans practically Slaughtered all the Hausas in asaba on the night of the midwest invasion including the few Hausa that escaped to the Onitsha side.

From Gen alabi Isama’s book “Tragedy of Victory “

“The Biafran troops
broke the barricade on Niger River bridge and
went straight to a place called “Ogbe Hausa” at the
cable point; where the Hausa community lived.
Biafran troops pounced on them and killed many of
them. The few that escaped were mowed down at
Onitsha end, the people jubilated.”
