After rigging election and disenfranchised non Yoruba from voting in Lagos you want Chimamanda to say otherwise that all is good in a Nigeria about to be governed by a druglawd and ex convict.
You must be ffu.cking out of your mind.

Best Actress Nigeria has had. A woman in a class of her own. Watched the video. A true patriot. Genevieve is too intelligent for her own good. No other celeb comes close.

Yet she was not allowed to vote in Lagos by pretentious lovers of one Nigeria and mandate thieves.

I don't love her cos she's igbo. I despise igbos cos they're a weird specie. Always fighting with everyone even outside the country, constituting nuisance.

I love her cos she's super talented, reserved, classy and elegant, matured. I've loved her since my secondary school days.. more than 10 years ago. Genevieve is different from the rest of them.

Did she tell you personally or you made this up as you're prone to do?

Didn't they disenfranchised Igbos living in Lagos from voting?
Did you not watch actress Chioma Akpota crying on video after she was being physically attacked by these same id.ots pretending to love one Nigeria for being Igbo and trying to vote?

A Nigerian that turn down her country National award but went to collect title in her homeland ... what image does that give to the world

Our great legal luminary (Chief Gani) turned down a national honour in 2008. Does that make him lesser or unpatriotic Nigerian?

Most of you igbos are a product of how your mothers brought you up. Genevieve is too smart a woman to bring her "children" up with hate, bitterness and bigotry. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm sure she was well raised by her parents. Even Soludo and Moghalu are sensible too.
Lol Soludo and Moghalu are sensible? I laugh in Oshogbo.
The same Soludo that you guys disparage everyday here on how he destroyed the CBN and Naira? The same man that you supported a drop out to win in last Anambra Gov election?. You guys voted a brainless Bubu when a sensible Moghalu was on ballot paper. Chameleons.

When Soludo become a top contender for president you guys will turn around to call him IPOB sponsor.

To you guys Obi killed IPOB members and dumped them in Ezu river, today Obi is IPOB sponsor because he came out to contest for Nigeria president.
Chameleons!!!!

I have seen how your mother trained you well to be inconsistent.

A part of Nigeria anthem says, Arise o compatriot, Nigeria "call" obey ....sounds more like an order to me
Regardless of what you have against the leader at the moment, you don't use it against the nation as a whole, it is called national award not Buhari award

So Chief Gani made a huge mistake in that one but his other sacrifices for Nigeria redeems him as a patriot. weytin Chimamanda don do for Nigeria asides selling are friction to the world.

You should know Leaders will come and go, if you reject national award because you aint happy with the present govt when a good govt comes why should they ever call you again.
An ideal patriot will put the nation 1st before what he/she feels.

When people are as hateful of themselves, with some hating Nigeria passionately also, as different ethnic groups of Nigeria are, then such is a huge disincentive to national socio-economic growth and development.

Nigerian leaders know what must be done once they are genuinely prepared to take action and rescue our nation. Tinubu has pledged to take action and that is why I support him passionately.

Wagwanbrethren:
It's pretty okay, perhaps the country is mired in a never-ending cycle of poverty and violence, with little hope for improvement. Maybe the government is controlled by a corrupt elite that cares nothing for the people. It could also be that the country is engaged in a costly and senseless war that does nothing but bring death and destruction.

In any of these cases, it would be perfectly understandable for someone to feel disillusioned with their country and to want to express their dissatisfaction in writing. And, while it might not be the most patriotic thing to do, there is nothing inherently wrong with criticizing one's country. After all, a healthy democracy depends on open dialogue and constructive criticism.

That said, it's important to be mindful of the impact that one's words can have. Criticizing one's country can be seen as unpatriotic, and it can also make it more difficult for people to come together and work towards solutions. So, it's important to be thoughtful and constructive in one's criticisms, and to always remember that, ultimately, we're all responsible for our country.
Well said.

Chimamanda and Genevieve are not on the same level, the former is an icon, and the later is just a screen actress, with that being said...

Chimamanda did not diss Nigeria but she lambasted the corrupt and inefficient electoral system that failed to produce credible candidate, she also lambasted the US government for congratulating the ill process that brought father Escobar to be the president-select.

You guys are comparing two parallel situations.

Chimamanda Adichie didn't diss her country in the letter she wrote. She is unhappy that INEC fraudulently foisted on us an ex-druglord with an unknown background, questionable age and character, and who's even too unhealthy to discharge the responsibilities of the office he aspires.

Nobody would be complaining if INEC kept to their words of transmitting the election results in real time. One week later, they were still posting results on the iRev after doctoring them. Nobody will respect this country if we don't respect ourselves by doing the right thing.

You are right . The people that says they love Nigeria more than others and have been accusing others of ethnic bigotry are the same people who support the rigging of National election because riggers are their tribesmen.

Over a decade ago, the country was not the poverty capital of the world. Over 10yrs ago, Nigeria did not pride herself in unbridled corruption, nepotism and ethnic profiling.
During the said period, Nigerians were seen as the happiest people on earth and Benue did not burry over 200 people in one week, children were not bn kidnapped like we just read from Zamfara

What can be a worse diss to a country than a president of a Country shamelessly going for medical treatment abroad?

Chief Chimadanda has done more to give Nigeria a great image Outside Nigeria than the Buhari lead APC adminstration combined

Buhari lead APC is the chief demarketer of Nigeria

OH SHUT UP.

THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ''DISS'' NIGERIA BECAUSE BUHARI GETS TREATMENT IN LONDON IS YOU IGBO SELF HATING PRETEND NIGERIAN TRAITORS FOR WHOM EVERYTHING IS A REASON TO HATE AND CRITICISE NIGERIA.

SO GO FCK YOURSELVES. WASTRELS.
