God When? 5 Ways To Make The Most Out Of Being Single by DyshApp: 4:44pm On Apr 11, 2023
Valentine's Day came with all its pomp and display. Amidst the harsh economic crisis, lovers were still serenaded by gift boxes, flowers, and chocolates.

Some were beaming with smiles and blushing as they posed for the camera, a few were kicked back to the single streets after being disappointed, while the owners of the single streets cheered and took pictures as usual.

Holidays and other special days are beautiful because you get to share them with the people you love, but they are also reminders of who you don't have. Whether your status is intentional or unintentional, you should maximize your single season because it may be the only time you get to be selfish with yourself. This article explores five practical ways to make the best of your singleness and have fun while at it.

1. Discover yourself

From birth, you've always been told who you are and what to do. It's like you were already on the go and suddenly thought one day, "Hey! I'm a person!" By that time, you already had an identity attached to rules and expectations. Your singleness is a time to explore and parent yourself. If you didn't have the chance to travel or study what you like, this is the next best time to re- strategize and figure out ways to do what you enjoy because you also deserve to live a life you love.

2. Heal

Virtually everyone has some form of trauma from people, things, the government, and even unmet expectations. These wounds show up in different ways, like hoarding, people-pleasing, alcoholism and addictions, attention- seeking, etc. Therapy and counselling may sound like curse words, especially in this part of the world, but they can help deal with the underlying issue.

You can also invest in self-help materials and content centered on wellness and healing. These may sound boring, but investing in your mental health could save you and your future partner a lot of trouble.
