In a statement personally signed by him Hon. Osaro-Onaiwu Jnr congratulated the incumbent Governor of Bayelsa Senator Duoye Diri for picking the party’s Governorship ticket unchallenged.

The Edo born PDP Stalwart stated, "The PDP delegates and members uninanimously supported Governor Douye Diri's second term ambition because of his sterling performance in office and this trust in his capacity is nothing but remarkable".

Hon. Osaro-Onaiwu Jnr made it clear that the offer of first refusal can only be given by party members to an incumbent when it is evident enough that the incumbent in question has performed beyond reasonable doubt.

I have know doubt that the general election in Bayelsa in few months time will be won by the PDP because, the good people of Bayelsa will surely reward the PDP with a resounding victory at the polls because of the party’s performance and popularity in the State. He concluded!!
