Ogun East Senator-Elect Gbenga Daniel Applauds University of Medicine Approval Hails Amosun, Obadara, Tejuosho

A former Governor of Ogun State, and Ogun East Senator-elect, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has described the approval for the establishment of the University of Medicine, Abeokuta, by President Muhammadu Buhari as a win for Ogun State in particular and Nigeria in general.

While reacting to the news of the approval, Daniel said situating the specialist university in Ogun State will further cement the state's status as a Gateway to qualitative education.

He appreciated the unrelenting efforts of the lawmakers who worked assiduously to realise the dream; Senators Lanre Tejuosho, Obadara and Ibikunle Amosun.

Otunba Daniel described their efforts as the hallmark of representative democracy with a focus on development.

"I commend the foresight and doggedness of the sponsors and promoters of the Bill which led to the establishment of the University of Medicine in Ogun State. This is about quality representation at the National Assembly and anywhere it matters, it is a win for Nigeria and Ogun State in particular.
