These rules were not made overnight. In Europe students know how to behave with their cars, they don't go and park it in lecturers exclusive parking space.

They don't also park their cars in spots marked for deans and VCs.

Some students even use their car to block that of the lecturers intentionally so you have to search for them before you drive out.

I do believe a car park will be made for them at an exclusive spot outside the lecture area.

It's just a disciplinary measure till solution is found.

What? they never heard of towing services?
you lot can make excuses for mediocrity

What kind of stupid policy is this. So they want their students to be poor. Here in Europe students come with their cars. I don't understand why we are still thinking backward. We really need help

Animalistic thinking. Schools are centres of learning and not social competition hubs where criminality and vices are breed. I don't blame you much, abuse is inevitable when purpose is lacking.

BTW, stop watching too many Hollywood movies.

The intimidation these staff feel is probably not how they should perceive it.. cars are a necessity and shouldn't be as a flaunt! But are minds are darker than black.. just the way the army intimidates harmless citizens in this country for no reason
Bros you'll will not understand.

Re: LAUTECH Bans Students From Driving Cars On Campus (pics) by beejaay: 6:10pm On Apr 19, 2023
Stupid scholars.. Instead of them to make serious money for the school by way of building good car parks and charging parking fees with extra charges and registration for tinted cars..
I don't know maybe our leaders don't think or they just think Backward.. I heard the other day that most schools now don't allow students to cook with electric cooker or gas except kerosene stove..

This is pure rubbish! The students should protest against this obvious social sentiment, meted out against them, by the school authority!!

In western world (especially the US), high school students are already entitled to a car..

Black man and black mentality of backwardness!!!

You compare cars bought with proceeds of crime by social misfits to a sane country. Abeg leave matter we all know lautech boys are yahoo Yahoo and they are mostly senseless and arrogant

When you impound a vehicle, the owner pays a fine to get it, next time he won't park there, auctioning off someone's property without due notification and time is theft.

Note the difference son

Because most of these students constitute nuisance with their cars in school. In Europe, you barely see students do such

believeMEyou:
you're talking as if Na every student wey dey the school get money or dey drive car. In the average Nigerian University, if there are 1000 students, the one's wey get car no reach 50.. That is the problem with that your solution.....This policy stems from pure jealousy and nothing else because I don't see any benefit what so ever of such satanic policy.. The average Nigerian elderly are always pained to see young people who are more successful than them

Since the case study here is LAUTECH, I think we should restrict our discussions to the school.

Now, to the reason why you said the policy won't work, if very few students (which is still debatable without substantial evidence from the school)are having cars and have their designated parks, don't you think the problem is automatically solved?

That would make it easy to sanction any erring students and bring sanity into the system.

Note: most of where this policy is in effect, in fact, have many students without cars as you've posited.

The number one problem of a Black man is a bitter jealousy.

African countries need to address this issue in their society to move forward.

A Black's jealousy is so dangerous that it can make one man who is in a powerful position in the country, like the President, Senate President, police IGP, Army chief of defence staff, INEC chairman, CJN, etc to circumvent the entire system of government from working properly because he doesn't like how some people are enjoying and benefiting from the system.

That is why in my opinion the best way to make Black people govern themselves properly is to decentralize powers in government and create a power structure in such a way that each powerful person in government is subjected to an oversight function of another independent body. Instead of having one INEC chairman for instance, we can have INEC's board of chairmen composed of people from major ethnic groups and religions in the country. Instead of complaining about corrupt judges, we can give judiciary its financial autonomy to be able to adjudicate cases without fear or favour. Instead of having to face with constant police and military brutalities, we can legalize guns for millions of Nigerians whose profiles and activities are traceable from a central security system linked to their BVN.

Even though Blacks are very difficult to govern, these measures will solve many issues in current Nigeria.

The way these useless students intimidates lectures in the universityby flaunting expensive cars, why won't they ban students from using cars?

Very laughable saying that students intimidate lecturers.
Such lecturers have very low self esteem of themselves.

These nonsense should not stand . Are they feeling oppressed by students driving flashy cars than them?
The SUG of that school should do the needful and stop this archaic mentality.

The problem with us in this country is that we love to abuse privileges. Because they allowed car on campus, some mofos will be using the car to oppress others on campus like as if owning a car means that you've made it in life...

In Europe students who use cars worked for it or their parents are rich and their cars are not so exotic like the case of Nigeria students who are into Yahoo then get cars that a professor who's been working for 10 years cannot afford they will definitely run it on their lecturers eyes.

They should even ban student having 10 million in their account without already working in a reasonable organization. That LAUTECH is a home of yahoo. If your ward is admitted there he is already yahoo in two months unless he is 100% contented from home
