"The Solution Agenda of Anambra State has No Room For Land Grabbers - MD/CEO ACTDA, As It Demolishes Illegal Two Storey Building Erected On Church's Land In Isuaniocha.

The Development Control Unit of the ACTDA-Awka Capital Territory Development Authority has demolished a two storey building illegally erected on a property belonging to the Catholic Diocese of Awka at Isuaniocha, in Awka North Local Government Area.

Speaking during the exercise, the MD/CEO ACTDA, Mr. Ossy Onuko stated that the demolition was a serious warning to land grabbers who fraudulently sell and occupy people's land without approval or proper documentation.

The ACTDA boss affirmed that the developer had been warned to stop work on several occasions by his officials, but it fell on deaf ears. He further made it clear that outlaws have no place under the current administration in the state.

Mr. Onuko maintained that the agency has intensified supervision exercise across the the capital territory to checkmate excesses by developers and promise to deal severely with defaulters of the agency rules of engagement for land acquirement process and development activities.

He also went further to warn that ACTDA is all out to wipe out impunity in the system and instill discipline and rule of law, and advised developers and builders to always visit the headquarters of the agency in Awka for approval and proper documentation before they commence work to avoid regrets.

He finally noted that the demolition will serve as a deterrent to others who are into land grabbing and advised the general public to always follow the right channels each time they want to engage in real estate business in the state capital territory.
