Hello Nairalanders.

Please, to get a loan from a bank or any financial institution, is it a must for the collateral to be my personal property and in my name

The options I have are my maternal grandmother's house and my uncle's land or house

In other words, can I use any of the above as collateral to get a loan?

Thanks, in anticipation of your kind and accurate response.
