The leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, the Ebonyi South senatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Linus Okorie, and the Umuekuenyi Youth Forum are engaged in a dispute regarding the relocation of the election petition tribunal to Abuja.

The election petition tribunal, which was previously sitting in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, was relocated to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, by the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Monica Mensem.

This relocation has caused uproar among the ruling APC, Ebonyi youths, and opposition parties in the state.

The APC in Ebonyi State has petitioned the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, requesting immediate intervention and a possible reversal of the relocation.

The party believes that the relocation was orchestrated by the opposition parties, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in an attempt to obstruct justice by manipulating the Election Petition Tribunal.
