Have you ever tried a smoothie?😐 If not try your Taste buds with this. Smoothies can be healthy, refreshing, and quite filling when you're going on a diet not to mention they can also be tasty. All that's required is a blender, fruit & veg, and a couple of minutes of your time.

You can either experiment with your blends or look on the internet for different combinations. The best thing is that anyone can do it, it doesn't require any complicated techniques, measurements, or cooking times. You literally can't go wrong! If you've run out of ideas and are looking for new blends, then try these 9 refreshing shakes.

Banana colada smoothie

This banana colada smoothie is the perfect way to satisfy a sweet tooth. The pineapple inside this shake contains bromelain. Bromelain is an enzyme with anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients

• 2 bananas

•1 cup coconut water

• 1/2 cup plain Greek or non-dairy yogurt

• 1 cup pineapple chunks (if from a can, drain and rinse before blending)

• 3 cups crushed ice

Blend until smooth. If desired, sprinkle raw coconut flakes on top after blending for garnish.

Mango papaya smoothie

Papaya is rich in vitamin C and fiber. Papaya helps promote glucose uptake in the body, which can help with blood sugar management.

Ingredients

• 1 mango (peeled and pitted)

•1/2 papaya (peeled and seeded)

•1 handful of spinach

• 2 cups plain regular or nondairy yogurt .

•2 tbsp fresh lime juice

•1/4 tsp almond extract

For a thicker consistency, add a few ice cubes before blending and blend until smooth.

Peanut butter banana smoothie

Peanut butter has protein, which may help you feel fuller longer, and bananas are a great source of magnesium and potassium, two essential minerals. Look for all-natural peanut butter that has no added sugar or hydrogenated oils.

Ingredients

• 1&1/2 bananas

•1&1/2 tbsp. natural peanut butter

•10 oz. regular or nondairy milk

Blend until smooth. If you're looking for a thicker consistency, add a few ice cubes before blending.
