"I outlined our position on the conflict,” Ramaphosa said, “as well as our belief that the conflict should be resolved through mediation and negotiation between the parties and - if need be - with the help of agencies that can help.”

BRICS made waves after an announcement to develop a new currency, to reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar and other Western currencies, and to protect themselves from international pressure. Brazil and China have already struck a deal to bypass the dollar when paying for trade goods.

It is U.S that even sees Russia as a rival, a rival that must be eliminated and dismembered that is why US has used NATO to move closer to Russia and that is why US is heavily involved in Ukraine spending billions to help Ukraine defeat that rival.
