He hasn't had a divorce or even a separation. He's running things well when some can't even manage one wife and two kids. None of his 28 kids is in prison or loafing on the streets. That takes leadership. Give honour where it's due!

Man is not asking for anything based on the size of his family but using how he handles his family to demonstrate his capabilities.

What Doguwa is saying in other words is that he manages a family of four wives and 28 children - family affairs and politics,

for someone to manage this unit for more than 30 years and still hold on, without much less a serious altercation or worse a divorce while still maintaining community engagements as a politician (how many politicians can make the lower chamber their place of residence for 32 from much less a state than Kano which un-arguably has the hottest elections in this country?) and constitutional responsibility as a parliament member shows a lot of skills - people management, time and resources management, goal getting and leading from the front and much more.

This is in a country where people shy away from marriage or grown adults getting married at 35 and filing for divorce 2 years after.

Doguwa is eminently qualified - any of the other contenders won't bring any better qualification than Doguwa (a degree/Msc, 32 years experience, he has the character and the capacity etc)

Can he pull it off - considering the people on his tail from his party and beyond plus the party politics that may scheme him out - that's the better question.
