may be u are meeting the wrong men. I can see my self promise a girl without fulfilling my word. If i cant, i simply say no. but why our naija girls never satisfied with the little given to them see it go round with both side. |

Well, if these arrogant men don't make these promises, some women wouldnt look at them twice, let alone love them. I don't blame dem, some women just love being lied to. 1 Like |

True words. The question should have been: why do Nigerian women love to entertain unreasonable promises. The man who make a heaven and earth promise must have done it at the insistence of the woman. So if heaven refuse to come down must the man kill himself? I think it is wrong on either side, not just the man. |

My own question is promising a woman heaven & earth does it pertain 2 naija men only or all men in general |
Re: Why Are Nigerian Men So Full Of Promises by chuckdee4(m): 4:31pm On Sep 04, 2007 |
lauryn: Better person u took the words right out my mouth, some naija girls no dey like hear a potential's story. they want a made man. I can just imagine stepping to a girl with the line that u aspire to do this n that, she wouldn't even answer u, but when u step with the line i have this n that or i'm this or that, then u have her attention and everything else. Sad but true, so to still get gonos some guys have devised this promising of heaven and earth story to use code the girl |

Re: Why Are Nigerian Men So Full Of Promises by labiyemmy(m): 5:15pm On Sep 04, 2007 |
why do u wait for those promises in the first instance? are you talking about promises of marriage or promises of earthly things? the question should be this - why do women seek or look forward to promises from men. |

Nigerian women love to be lied to. They love to hear all the positives of life and shy away from the negatives. Which woman would like a guy that drives a beetle or 1980 santana? I once met a girl in Unilag and she was complaining that a boy with a shagari benz actually stopped in front of her and toasted her, she felt humilated and was just praising God that her bobo no de drive that kin rubbish when e de Naija. Meanwhile the bobo no de Jand but don relocate go anoda school because of confra yawa and the moto e de take impress am na im uncle own. Now if this girl knew this guy was a footwagon major, would she date him?, Abeg you girls stop ranting over things that are flowing in your blood! You love lies, you adore them and every Naija man would use this scope on you till the end of time! 1 Like |

lawyer: Not true in all cases!!!! Even where ladies love to be lied to, why must the men fall for it and lie? Men should do the right thing and avoid lies at all costs. Must guys lie to impress? |
