majority of people buying Nigerian cassava are Nigerians themselves...so is that not cashing in?! or would you rather they export the cassava and let the Nigerian population starve or buy imported cassava, abi? |

MrBrownJay1: Exporting cassava will incentivise people to produce more cassava because they are well rewarded for it. As for exports, the major buyers of its industrial derivatives are in Asia, especially China and Japan. No surprise that the major exporters are in South East Asia. Nigeria cassava processors should focus on the Nigerian market as we are already the biggest producer globally. There is money in that stuff, honestly. |
