The People Of Port Harcourt And Beyond Gave The Late Chike Nyeche Woluchor A Befitting Funeral Dez Mayorz News The Rivers State Government, Port Harcourt City Local Government, and the entire people of Rivers State and beyond gave a befitting burial to the former mayor of Port Harcourt, the Late Hon. Chike Nyeche Woluchor. The 2 days of funeral activities (Thursday and Saturday ) were attended by top government officials, dignitaries, traditional rulers, Family members, friends, and well-wishers. The Valedictory session in the Port Harcourt City Local Government Council was attended by almost all the former Mayor of Port Harcourt and caretaker chairmen alive. During the valedictory session, the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda, emotionally said the late Chike Nyeche Woluchor’s landmark contributions to the growth and development of Port Harcourt City Local Government and the state during his tenure as mayor of Port Harcourt between 1991-1993, is immeasurable and speaks volumes. The Mayor condoled with the family in the moment of sorrow and grief and urged them to have consolation in the Lord as he prayed for the grace and strength to bear the irreparable loss. Late Hon.
