I've never applied relaxer from birth and I feel it's the best decision I have ever made.

My mum applied it from childhood and saw how harmful it was.
So she Successfully convinced us that relaxer will damage the hair you succeeded in growing for months or years.

It may look beautiful at first but...

Most people believe your hair won't look beautiful if you braid it without relaxing it, anyone who believes this needs to change his or her hair stylist.

I also believe that hair is hereditary

If you have it, you have it
If you don't have it, then don't stress.

The picture below is me styling my natural (virgin) hair.
My hair is 13yrs old already
Some say it will stop growing as soon as it's 5yrs but it's a lie.
You just have to take care of your hair, make sure it's well creamed before braiding or plaiting it to avoid breakage

Also, don't allow anyone to rough handle your hair.

I am getting concerned of how weary I am getting over anything hair.

I do miss my hair when I was strictly texlaxing...it was very long, dark and had a lovely shine.
I went from that to relaxing now I am tempted to cut the hair cos it's not what it used to be plus I don't give it the needed care and treatments anymore. undecided

Great tips. Just know that when you reach abroad, you cut everything away and be on low cut cos natural hair is not easy. Ease of maintenance and cost in 9ja salons is cheaper than outside the country.

Who told you natural hair Is not easy abroad? You guys just think natural hair is one big inconvenience and it's a shame. Learn how to care for your real hair.

I started natural hair because I can't waste money on relaxers. With my natural hair, I don't invest my time in any routine, imagine giving hair egg, avocado, banana, food I supposed to eat. I just let it grow by itself grin

Ladies if you want your hair to grow naturally and quickly Avoid Wearing Wigs and synthetic hair on your head allow your natural hair breathe.

Secondly Add Nuts and Oils to your diet as well as your hair treatment. Nuts like Cashew and groundnuts help . Use coconut oil ,Shea butter as well as Rice water for your hair.

STOP USING FAKE HAIR ON YOUR HEAD ALLOW YOUR NATURAL HAIR FLOURISH YOU LOOK MORE BEAUTIFUL AND ATTRACTIVE WITH IT.

This advice won't work for up and mobile career women who don't have time to properly maintain this natural hair..... Natural hair is not so easy to maintain and get to work....

Me, my hair doesn't even relax, no matter how I try and I don't have much time with the natural hair so artificial hair comes in to make one look decent. So, when women put on this artificials it helps them save time( the only time wasted is when it is being done eg weavons, braids), not that they intend just wearing these for wearing sake.... You may like natural hair but may not eventually be time and cost effective at same time making one appear presentable..... Also, just as some men are good looking with no hair on their scalp, some need to make hair styles( cut ones) and others just mere cuts to appear presentable same with ladies. Not everyone looks good with natural hair that is why some ladies cut theirs, relax the cut hair, braid, fix weavons, wigs, attachments especially based on your time schedules.

Easy o and i have no shame in saying this. This is personal experience anyways. I do take care of my hair myself which isn't a problem. However the time it takes and the cost if you have to go to the salon may not be worth it. Again, you might be in a country where salon cost is not reasonable. This is my experience and that of my natural hair friends with our full and thick 4c hair as students. Some already gave up and relaxed their hair. Your hair is not my hair.
