AK481: U can't replace Resident Doc bro. Forget stunt. They've gone far knowledge wise to be replaced. Any Doc not doing residency is either a consultant, or a G.P who will need years of training to get to the level of Snr Resident Doc and do what they can do. 1 Like |

It's only in Nigeria that medical doctors become arrogant and useless as they climb up their career ladder... You see all those consultants... They are useless as anything... All they do is admin work, no more medical stuff... The resident docs still in training are now the ones running the hospitals and they too have also seen themselves as too important... Are the doctors only the ones in the health team? |

If you're not in a Hospital Setting (a teaching hospital specifically) you may not understand their ordeal These people work almost all round the clock. Remove them from the hospital and you have only the few Consultants, and Nurses Resident Doctors are far more fresh in terms of Knowledge than the Ad Hoc (most of who are going to be GP). |

Segzy19: regular opinion of a common man I'm a student yeah, and you think the Consultants are just there for Admin work? They are there to train! For your mind a Resident Doc is learning on his own? You see the arrogance, I see the pain in them |

Which Consultants are overworked? The ones discharging patients at will? The Govt would also cause endless problems in the health sector if they only consider Doctors for salary and allowance increments while giving dead ears to other professionals in the health sector. |

sherylbaky: Not correct-The government is very fair to those in government and are friends of government. Why can't they be given that raise at once? The politicians in the National Assembly that earns way higher, what benefit have the people received from their gathering? |
