JAPARIANS- How Did You Dispose Your Properties? by Tjra: 9:19pm On May 20, 2023
Hello guys!

I need your advise.

I lost my Dad some months ago (Mum is late as well) and inherited the family house as the first child while my siblings inherited other properties (all in Lagos)

My immediate brothers are based abroad while the last born that stays in family house alone just informed me he considering UK Masters JAPA route. He's definitely leaving this September.

My main problem now is; how do I dispose off the household items? My initial long term plan is actually to travel down to Lagos (I work in another state) while on annual leave, list the household items online, remodel the Duplex into flats and rent them out.

Unfortunately, I cannot do that as I have exhausted my annual leave days for 2023. His decision to JAPA came abrupt else I would have planned myself.

Are there companies that handle sales of household stuffs in Lagos for people not physically present? I'm scared of being duped.

Another challenge is the house itself, how do I keep the house/compound busy? I've committed my resources to some on-going projects and so don't have spare cash for the house remodelling this year.

Is it wise to put a house under locks from September 2023 till January/February 2024 when i can take another vacation? I'm just confused.

@Tjra

I'm a property lawyer.

I can help you manage the property effectively by renting it out, supervise the remolding, remit your rent and puting all legal agreement in place.

You don't have to put the house under lock when you can rent it out and get your rent fee for that year.

Rent it out this year and include in the landlord and tenancy agreement that you will be remolding the house by a certain time next year or the year after.

You can practically use the money from the rent to complete the remolding when you are ready and the rent will also increase afterwards.

Let me know if you wants me to be involved.

Thanks.

You go around insulting other tribes, calling everyone that criticizes tinubu an IPOB, because you are a bigot.
Why then are you trying to run away? Should you stay around and enjoy the government of Tinumbu?

Run away? Where did you read that from? If I want to JAPA today, money is not my problem. I dey here gidigba.

So read the thread carefully again.

As for the BIGOT tag. You are worse. A glimpse at your threads shows you are a chronic ethnic jingoist. People like you turned liberal Yorubas that voted Obi get on the defensive.

Yab Tinubu all day na you sabi. But don't bring Yorubas into the picture.

You can't insult our tribe and then expect us to laugh with you. Nahh.. Two can play the game.
