As the fact sheet on the newly constructed Dangote refinery has it that the refinery which has the capacity to process 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day, that is the refinery is more than able to meet all of "Nigeria’s domestic fuel consumption", which is about 450,000 barrels per day; whilst the excess production will be available for export.

And with this, it means we will be refining our crude oil locally and no need of subsidising the landing cost again.

So why was the FG recently hell-bent on removing the fuel subsidies when the end was already in sight.

Or can we say they unduly wanted to hike the fuel price to favour.......

Hahahahaha. Because alot of this our politicians have shares in Dangote. And will like the subsidies to be removed so that the price can jump to like N500,so that by the time Dangote starts production, his price can be like N400.They will now make massive return on investment.
You should equally know that Dangote is not a charity organization and he has shown it with his Dangote cement which is 4500 naira now.

Why do you think that despite all the boast by Buhari,no refinery is working as of now. What we have are promises of it will work today, tomorrow etc.
Multi Billionaire business people are deadly and agressive. They can even buy up a rival company and close it down.

We are ruled by powers and cabals.

Landing cost only makes up a tiny fraction of the cost of petroleum products. Even if Dangote decided to sell at ZERO PROFIT (which we all know is impossible), the cost of petrol wouldn't still go below N300/litre. The only way the price can go lower is if the FG dashes Dangote free crude, or if it sells crude to Dangote at a SUBSIDISED rate (whic effectively is still subsidy).
