The Blues are seriously considering making a move for Victor Osimhen, but it will cost them a lot of money.

Chelsea have identified Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as their number one striking target and are ready to break the bank for his services.

The Blues are looking for a top striker this summer in their bid to solve their goalscoring woes and compete for the big titles next season.

Osimhen fits the profile of the player Chelsea are looking for and they are ready to pay the top dollar for the Super Eagles star.

The 24-year-old has been one of the best strikers in Europe’s top five leagues this season following a record-breaking campaign with Napoli.

Osimhen has scored 28 goals and recorded five assists in 37 games for the Neapolitans this season.

The Super Eagles star played a vital role in Napoli’s first league title in 33 years, scoring 23 league goals, more than any other player in Serie A.

Osimhen also has five goals in the Champions League this season, although the Neapolitans were knocked out in the quarter-finals.

With Osimhen in unstoppable form, Chelsea believe he could be their next big name and are ready to pay the top dollar for his services.

According to Plettigoal, The Blues are ready to pay €110m and bonuses (₦54b) for Osimhen’s services, although Napoli want €150m.

However, Chelsea will have to sell players this summer to sign Osimhen this season. The Blues already spent over €600m on players but will need to sell this summer to buy so as not to fall foul of the financial play rules.

But it remains to be seen if Napoli will accept Chelsea’s potential for their prized asset. Osimhen still has two years left on his contract with Napoli, having joined the club from Lille for a club-record fee of €75m.
