Nigerian actress Adunni Ade has responded to allegations made against her by a prominent Muslim cleric regarding a debt owed to the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi.

Through her legal representatives, Adunni Ade issued a public statement denying any wrongdoing and asserting that she never cheated Murphy, both during his lifetime and after his passing.

According to the actress, her financial transaction with the late actor amounted to 150,000 Naira (NGN).
She stated that she had already refunded the money to Murphy before his demise. Adunni Ade substantiated her claim by sharing a screenshot of her bank statement as evidence.
