The only thing holding Akwa Ibom state back
Is the Ibom deep sea port....

The state is surrounded by bad roads with makes export from the state difficult,

Investors wouldn't love to invest in such environment

The only thing keeping Lagos on top is the sea port

If Nigeria was a serious country
All the eastern ports would be working since the 80s

Every port is working in this country and it was Buhari who revitalised the moribund ones. But we're not ready for that conversation, are we?

What's the point of good roads when the people are scattered all over doing househelp, gateman, 4.0.4 local joint apprentice and other menial jobs.

Invest in people, develop people. That's what we need not only infrastructure. Build your people to do the jobs expatriates are brought to do. Equip them with skills so they can make money and live a good life.

That has greatly reduced. You mustn't deride a people to put your point across

Do African leaders know what u are saying.

Some illiterates here will still argue with u that u are talking rubbish but that is just the fact. Human development is zero in Nigeria.

Develop ur people and development will follow.

It shows you they are not lazy. Besides, go and check the most educated states in nigeria, Akwa Ibom is not down there. For the records, some of these "low jobs" pay fatter salary than your big jobs. Do you know how much a chef make? Or you want to think of house keepers as lowly paid? Most of them make their ways abroad from common house keeping. Ekiti state with all thr education is still poorer

You evil haters will always come here to spew trash.
There's no tribe nor state whose people are not doing all these you are saying here.

How much has your state government invested in human capital in your state as it's been done in Akwa Ibom State in the last eight years

As we speak, 100 Akwa Ibom indigenes are in Airbus Academy in Toulouse France, all sponsored by the State government, among other small and medium-scale entrepreneurial empowerment.

This one beautiful road? The one wey be like catapult or woman’s G-strings pant? Shooting area pix of a road with a drone doesn’t make such road a beautiful one. Or having a road within a green area doesn’t make it a good one.

One can tell from the pix, the quality of that road. Not thick, not well compacted. Not strong. Not clean. No binder to make it solid and not break. No design precision.
Give the road 2 raining seasons and you go know how far.

God bless you richly.
I’m an Akwa Ibomite.
It pains me to my marrow when I see these things yet the people are impoverished.
The government is trying in infrastructure but building people is the best thing to do. Take a look at Lagos, the people are empowered whether you are indigene or not. Just grow people.
Government should encourage people to acquire skill(s) that will take them out of poverty. Happy hour will keep them poorer.

This is how all roads either in rural or urban supposed to be. That's development most people are yearning for. People are running to UK, us etc because of development like this
