The new law is five years after marriage for passpor and you must speak and write limba romaneste but if you have good lawyer as i know and you are well loaded you dont have problem with language

Do they have to live together in that 5yrs in Romanian or Nigeria?
Re: Romania by llbhuds: 12:38pm On Jan 03, 2012
well the language is a big issue if you didnt live and work in the said country for the period of at least 3yrs. but provided you are a tax payer in the member country, it doesn't really matter for you to speak the language.

@Kennybuda, please my brother i want to ask you some questions, Am currently in 9ja but will be getting married to Romanian girlfriend by next month at ikoyi registry, my questions is as follows
1, what doc should my wife to be, bring with her to file for me for the visa at romanian embassy abj
2, how long do u think i have to wait b4 the visa comes out
3, do you know the docs we will need to submit for my 5years residence card when i get to romania
4, to register my marriage in Romania, do i need to authenticate the marriage cert we will collect at ikoyi registry
5, do you know how long i might wait b4 i can collect the 5years card and do i have to come for an interview with my wife so that they will know if the marriage is real or not, finally will love to see u when i finally come into romania. by the way my wife is from iasi, cant wait for your response

bokom
Greetings bokom i hope say u no be boko haram grin grin grin jokes. My wife is a hungarian but i know alot about romania due to my LONG stay there as of that time and still currently visit romania twice a month. After your mariage has been held in nigeria walk straight to romanian embassy in abuja with your wife for translation of your mariage certificate to romanian language with your nigerian passport apply for redistration of your marriage in romania at the same time aply for family visa to jion your wife in romania they will tackle both issues at the same time. If your wife is working legal in romania and she is a tax payee you have maximum 2 months for both process for sure. After you have been issued the c type visa to jion your wife in romania the 5 years resident permit is not that difficult hence your wife is working legal and has her apartment to acomodate you thats all, but to narrow your 5 years resident permit in romania its better you consult a lawyer to handle the process 200 euros to 300 euros is enuff for the best imigration lawyers in romania unles you want to claim bigger boy the you will pay more cos they are smarter than us grin grin grin
Re: Romania by kennybuda: 3:43pm On Jan 10, 2012
If there is any other document needed for the process of redistraion of you marriage the romanian embassy will alert you, asumming if it was when andre the former counsulor was there he was my good friend i need just a call and your process is been granted imidiatly cheers bro
