Tension As Cabals Plan To Hijack APGA National Convention


There is palpable fear that some cabals in Anambra State are trying to hijack the Wednesday national convention.

Names like former House Representatives members from Aguleri and Nnewi are on the frontline of the cabals.
They are said to be ganging against Ben Nwankwo, a preferred candidate by many grassroots members.

The grassroots members are protesting that if Ben Nwankwo is stopped by the cabals, some political merchants who had held APGA down for years would continue their merchandising of the party.

Ben Nwankwo an astute administrator with a PhD is currently the preferred candidate by many.

They political merchants in APGA are trying to convince Prof Chukwuma Soludo not back Ben Nwankwo for the APGA National Chairmanship position because he ( Nwankwo) has an independent mind and could not be controlled.

Speaking with our correspondent, a strong member of APGA said," Ben Nwankwo should be the national chairman of APGA to stop the selling of APGA in naira and dollar by certain people over the years.

Nwankwo has the same progressive agenda and mind with Prof Chukwuma Soludo. The two should work together to take APGA to real next level.

"Nwankwo is an experienced politician. He will stop the " buying and selling" in our party that has almost killed our party.

"He has Solution-based agenda in line with Soludo's thinking and philosophy."

Apga is a dead party.
