God expects us to do one thing when challenges confront us as a result of our sins, and that is to '' call on him''. He wants us to believe in him genuinely in order for him to cleanse us, like an earthly son would believe in his father's forgiveness. Many of us don't believe genuinely in God's ability to help us in our times of trouble, but God has promised to do these two things for those who come to him for help.

1. To take the trouble away from them.

Isaiah 51:21
Therefore, please hear this: you are afflicted and drunk, but not with wine. Thus says your Lord, the LORD, and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people: "See, I have taken out of your hand the cup of trembling (trouble or problem), the dregs of the cup of My fury; you shall no longer drink it.

2. To transfer your problem or trouble to your enemies.

Isaiah 51:23
23. I will put it into the hands of your tormenters, who said to you: Lie down, so we can walk over you. You made your back like the ground and like a street for those who walk on it.


If satan depended on truth to survive why do we think we can survive on lies.

I can see some electric current passing through your body as a “ shocker “ by this topic you just read just now. Yes, that is the undiluted truth if you ever care to know. The Devil is the father of all liers (john 8:44) but completely relies on the truth to survive. The truth is like a compass in the devil’s hand, without it there is no direction of mission or purpose. It is from the Devil’s knowledge of truth that it produces weapons of lies (counterfeit to truth).

What is truth? Truth is aligning with the reality and authenticity. The yardstick to measuring the truth is “God and his words”. Why? It is because he laid the foundation of all things that ever existed anywhere. Therefore, God is where you can get the authenticity and reality of everything concerning life. Even the Devil knows this reality of getting the truth from “God and it’s words”. In other words, the Devil is a specialist and a master in searching the scriptures (the bible) where God’s words are found. It is unfortunate that while the Devil searches for truth from God many people comfortably reject the same God and the truth it possesses.

Colossians 1:16-17
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Truth is the bedrock of reality, anything built on foundation of lies will only crumble and fall. We don't build a nation on lies or rub faeces on body claiming we working towards a good healthy life. Satan's reliance on truth points out the importance of authenticity in sirvival. Satan uses truth to his advantage inorder to ensure its continuity in existence. Satan uses the truth to creates convincing narratives that deceive the most discerning individual.

Satan's goal is to remain hidden while executing his plans, making his influence look like a mere natural consequence of human action, hence bible warns us about Satan's tactics, urging us to beware of them.

1peter 5:8

Be alert and of sober mind . Your enemy the Devil moved around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.


Yes! Satan is always on a mission to devour people with lies. God says 'you are great and you will end well' but Satan knowing this truth, will twist (lie) it and tell you "what a hopeless failure you are that can't ever end well". You can imagine God saying he is God of all flesh and creator of everything that exists anywhere, but Satan lying to people saying there is no God. The funny part of it is that after the deception of "no God" to people, Satan still recognizes God as his "creator" and "Lord" while being in God's presence.

Job 1:6

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Satan's reliance on the truth may seem ironic but it is a testament to the "power of truth". It only shows how truth is important and adored
by Satan. God has placed before us the "truth" to choose that it may be well with us and children.

Deuteronomy 30:19

New International Version
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life , so that you and your children may live.

Truth beautifies and sustains life. No scientist or researcher builds on lies (incorrect facts) and gets positive result, hence they rely on truth (correct facts) to succeed.You need to decide today which to choose between " truth" and "lies" to survive, but one thing I can assure you of is that, even Satan , choosed the "truth" to survive on its existence.

The love of God for us


John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.


When Adam sinned, he lost the direct access he initially had with God. (Genesis 3) God decided to send his only begotten son (Jesus) to pay the price for our sins on the cross of calvary because of his love for us. When Christ resurrected, he restored all privileges that we once had and brought redemption to us all. All we need is to believe that he died for our sin and has once again granted us direct access with God. No longer through an intermediary! (Mathew 27:50-53).

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

If our earthly parents care so much for us, how much more our father in heaven! (Luke 11:11-13). God’s love for us is infinite. He has promised to supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philipians 4:19).


Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, I accept and acknowledge you as my personal lord and savior. I sincerely ask that you forgive my sins. Come into my life and pour out your spirit on me. By faith, I receive the promise of the father, which is the holy spirit. (John 14:16) I thank you for the price that you paid for me on the cross of calvary. Thank you for my redemption. I pray that your power, grace and favor will abide with me now and forever more. Amen.
