Subsidy is a scam.
Big fraud.
I surprise why buhari could not stop it for eight long years.

Nigerians think that they don't have money. They forgot the major problem is how to spend the money. I hope the fund of subsidy reflects in the life of Nigerians. Withe the tax policy and all abacha loot recovered yet not real significance. It is just making more money for the looters, I think based on experience

Why invite NLC to subsidy removal meeting? NLC and TUC can demand for wage increase...There is a huge volume of workforce contributing to the nation's GDP who belongs to no trade unions. There should be wages and salaries increase across board. That is all

We have to end Subsidy but the people that benefit from these scams will never go down without a fight. Subsidy scam has been institutionalized we need to fight it and stop with the emotions.
Kudos to GEJ that attempted it but gave in to blackmail and attacks. Buhari didn’t have the balls so couldn’t bite the bullet.

We can’t afford to look back this time however there must be cushion as these will cause hyperinflation but we will be fine at the long run and also the FG should cut the cost of governance so it shouldn’t be the masses that would make sacrifice.
We all must sacrifice.

And to those people shouting Tinubu can never be my president. I hope you are buying your own fuel for 180 naira.
Presidency is not just a name but an authority.

Better days ahead

You are a chronic ignoramus. People like you are a disgrace to the African continent.

Sigh... This meeting ought to have been done and concluded by both Buhari and Tinubu prior to any announcement!

This is just common sense!

Why is simple leadership such rocket science for African Negroes??!
we are all seeing the reality now, during election campaigns if there is a gaffe,it will be laughed off and used for comedy but now you are a president,if there is a gaffe it can cripple the economy and scare foreign investors, that is why a president must be of sound mind and body, they should have first called nlc for a meeting which will only be how much salaries will be increased before making that stupid gaffe, now the government is running around like headless chicken on damage control without even a full kitchen cabinet to control the crisis.

But know ye, subsidy is gone!

The effects of the subsidy removal now without any advanced preparation will be greater on the Nigerians regardless whom they are. How many Nigerians can afford 500 per litter with its bitting effects on commodities? I stand with the masses in this struggle

I whole heartedly support the subsidy removal but..hmm but the Government need to come and tell us the said " current market realities " the warranted pegging the price above 500 per litre! Why couldn't they from 195 to like 250? Does it even make sense to even hear 500 per litre? Does removal of subsidy means we must pay at that exorbitant price? Wetin naw angry

. I support the removal but the pains will be too much now for the masses. Yiu don't come in as the president and add more pains to the existing ones. Additionally BAT should have found a ground for the
implementation not just acting impulsively.
Also they say no Pains no gains.Masses have pains always ,the cabal and politicians are enjoying. .
How do we even know that the subsidy money will be spent on education and health?

The truth is the time of implementation of the subsidy removal is wrong and illtimed. I stand with the masess in this struggle!

It’s disheartening. You can’t just wake up and announce subsidy removal without prior planning and provision, knowing full well of its effects on the poor masses. It will only take a matter of time before food and market commodities skyrocket becos of transportation costs… Salaries still remain the same.
This one is suffering Pro Max, from frying pan to fire. God help us.

The government should have avoided these NLC people. They're rednecks with absolutely no intellect to participate in anything progressive in this country. They have no mandate from anyone. All they know is to sing slogans. Adams Oshiomole is living proof that they're all in it for themselves. May that man ROT IN HELL and not take that beautiful model along.
